Nada India Nada acts as an initiator, facilitator and supporter for community initiatives working towards a gen Nada India started working in India under in 2001.

The sole objective of the organization is to promote inclusive non-pharmacological approaches and methods like acudetox,peer education for protection and recovery. Nada India advocates for balanced and healthy public policies to prevent, control non-communicable diseases, child friendly, gender sensitive and drug free healthy life style. Today, Nada India envisions communities of marginalized and vulnerable population especially adolescents, women and senior citizen capable of making healthy choices. Nada India also trains and provides technical assistance in setting up NADA Acudetox services in diverse settings like correction institutions,peer led rehabilitation programs,Uniformed services, drug treatment, rehabilitation and drop in centers, Productivity Enhancement Program in the countries of South Asia.

Looking back at 2005…

I came across this old issue of Social Initiatives, the NISD newsletter, from March 2005.

It brought back memories of my early work in addiction treatment, NADA and ear acupuncture, including the workshop in Kerala and the conversation with Dr. Michael O. Smith.

So much has changed since then, but the belief that recovery needs a holistic, human and social approach remains the same.

Sharing this piece of history for those who were part of the journey — and for those who may find it useful today.

Some memories are worth preserving.
