Natasha Anand, the founder of Umeed is driven by the extraordinary dream ‘of a world wherein every child is not only educated, but also independent and self confident, irrespective of the circumstances determined by birth’. She started off with a handful of students, a
humble venue and the support of her family - her daughter Saanya Anand being the first volunteer to teach. Against many odds and

difficulties, this Foundation has surely but steadily picked up pace, so much so that Umeed Foundation’s Study Centre is has already been smoothly and successfully running for over a year and a half! What’s more... it has 56 students, which have shown growth in areas like personality development, confidence and other specialised activities, over and above their academic progress.
