*686 flood relief kits. 15 villages. 5 Panchayats. One commitment: standing with communities as they recover.* 🤝

Through the *Musahar DRMR – Punpun Project, EFICOR distributed **686 flood relief kits* to flood-affected families across communities in Bihar.

From Behrwan and Kalyanpur Panchayats to villages across the region, relief meant more than supplies. It meant reaching people with *dignity, care and hope* when they needed it most.

Because recovery doesn’t happen overnight.
It happens when communities are supported to rebuild, recover and move forward. 🌱

Transforming Barren Slopes into Bountiful Fields | Amrapara Project Impact (2023–2025)

Stony soil, severe water scarcity, and erratic rainfall used to mean poor harvests and extended lean seasons for farming families in Pakur district, Jharkhand. Today, the landscape is telling a very different story.

Through participatory rural planning and community-led action, EFICOR’s Amrapara project has helped smallholder farmers reclaim their land and secure their futures:

65 acres of undulating terrain restored through gully plugging and stone bunding.

330 farmers trained in Conservation Agriculture methods, seeing increased yields in staple crops like maize, cowpea, sorghum, and pigeon pea.

440 household kitchen gardens providing year-round access to fresh, nutritious greens and vegetables.

50 families diversifying household income through electric sewing machines, livestock rearing, and rural retail stores supported through local SHGs.

When communities take ownership of sustainable agricultural practices, true resilience takes root.

The water is rising. And the impact is reaching Bihar.

Heavy rainfall and flooding upstream, including in Nepal, have contributed to rising water levels in rivers such as the Kosi and Gandak, putting communities across Bihar at risk.

For families living through the floods, the crisis means more than water. It can mean lost homes, disrupted livelihoods, unsafe conditions, hygiene challenges and increased risks for women and girls.

EFICOR is standing alongside affected communities through emergency support, hygiene assistance, gender-based violence awareness and unconditional cash support.

When the Assam floods destroy your home and leave you trying to hold on to whatever you can, timely relief assistance can mean a great deal.

In our Assam Flood Relief response, one flood-affected family shares what they experienced — and how support reached them when they needed it most.

So far, 588 families have received assistance through this relief response.

This is what your support makes possible: reaching flood-affected families in the middle of a crisis and helping them take the next step towards recovery.

On 25 August 2026, Divyangjan Rozgar Mela, held at EFICOR's HQ, brought together candidates with disabilities, employers, and organizations to create pathways towards meaningful employment.

From registration and documentation to interviews, conversations, and connections, every step was part of creating something bigger: access to opportunity, dignity, and greater independence.
