Green Dream Foundation

Green Dream Foundation We are a registered NGO in India since 2011 working towards environmental awareness, advocacy and action.

Going green doesn't start with doing green acts, it starts with a shift in consciousness. Our vision is to raise awareness about the environment and promote knowledge and education on prime environmental concerns especially global warming. We also focus on exploring knowledge through online and social media about the emerging environment and highlight how people can get ready for the challenges of

tomorrow, thus ushering a safer and more secure future for everyone. The environmental conditions are deteriorating, the population is growing at a rapid pace, trees are being cut indiscriminately and the industrial development has raised pollution levels. All these degenerating factors have a tremendous impact on the social, political and economic conditions prevalent in the world. It is important for all of us to take note of the changes occurring in our environment and our role in that process. Each of us can do something, change some of our daily patterns, to secure the planet and stem global warming.

Aligning to the theme of Earth Day 2026 which is "Our Power, Our Planet," we have been emphasizing and embracing the collective strength of individuals and communities to accelerate the transition to drive environmental progress.

Since Earth Day 2025, we have collected and recycled more than 47 tonnes of solid waste. The conscious and responsible citizens associated with us handover clean and segregated waste to our workers through a door to door collection that is conducted across Delhi NCR on a weekly basis. Here is a reminder that Earth Day is Every Day!

We are actively looking out for support in the form of crowd funding and CSR to expand this program and its impact further in the near future. Please email [email protected] to know more!

India's weather office has forecast a below-average monsoon in 2026, with an El Nino expected to develop and weigh on rainfall in the latter half of the June to September season.

In the past, India has seen below-average rainfall in most El Nino years, at times triggering severe droughts that ravaged crops and prompted export ‌curbs on certain grains.

El Nino, a warming of the central and eastern Pacific, alters atmospheric circulation and weakens monsoon winds over the Indian subcontinent.

This is how Climate Change is impacting public health, livelihoods, economies, global trade and much more. Urban as well as Rural Local Bodies need to plan now for the next 6 months while doubling up on initiatives for capturing CO2 and water security.

The world’s generation of Electronic Waste is rising 5 times faster than documented recycling efforts. Globally, e-waste is increasing by 2.6 million tonnes every year and is projected to reach 82 million tonnes by 2030, according to UNITAR. Currently, only 17.4% of global e-waste is properly recycled.

Recognized as the fastest-growing waste stream, e-waste contains hazardous substances that can release toxic chemicals if handled or recycled improperly - posing severe risks to human health and the environment.

In response to this urgent challenge, an E-Waste Collection Drive was successfully conducted at Budharaja Government Bidyapitha, Danagadi (Jajpur, Odisha) today to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable waste management practices among students.

More than 60 students gathered all types of electronic gadgets for recycling through Stainless Swachhata Abhiyaan which were lying at some corner of their house until today.

This initiative directly aligns with:

SDG 13 – Climate Action
SDG 14 – Life Below Water
SDG 15 – Life on Land

Small actions at the school level can create a ripple effect toward global sustainability. Initiatives like this demonstrate how awareness, education, and responsible partnerships can together drive impactful climate action.

A thoughtful cleanliness cm sensitisation drive successfully executed with active and enthusiastic volunteers of Project LIFE. The activity was conducted at Kachahri Chauraha roadside, a prominent and high-traffic area where a considerable amount of waste had accumulated over time.

The initiative was undertaken with the objective of promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and community awareness. Volunteers from Luminous, Green Dream and local community participated wholeheartedly and demonstrated a strong sense of ownership and social responsibility throughout the drive. The team worked collaboratively to collect and segregate the litter spread across the roadside, ensuring the area was cleaned effectively.

The drive was further encouraged by the presence of SIIDCUL Regional Manager, who joined the activity and appreciated the sincere efforts and commitment shown by the Luminous team towards maintaining cleanliness and contributing positively to the surroundings.

Since the location is a busy roadside area, the activity also served as an awareness initiative for the general public. Passers-by and commuters were able to witness the team’s efforts, thereby reinforcing the importance of cleanliness and responsible waste disposal. The initiative successfully conveyed a strong message on maintaining clean public spaces through action.

Overall, the cleanliness drive was a meaningful and impactful initiative that not only improved the cleanliness of the selected area but also strengthened teamwork, reinforced social responsibility among employees, and contributed to spreading awareness on cleanliness within the community.
