Our Story

Asia Pacific Vascular Society is formed in 2009. APVS is a Society of Vascular Interventionalists, Cardiologists, Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Vascular Physicians, Interventional Radiologists. APVS Collaborations with International & National Societies – • International Society of Endovascular Specialists, USA • Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, USA • Moroccan Society of Endovascular Specialists, Morocco • Vascular Society of India • Indian College of Cardiology • Cardiological Society of India • Endovascular Intervention Society of India • Collaborations with International & National Societies • Association of Vascular Access and Interventional Renal Physicians (AVATAR) The Society is committed to research and education in the field of Vascular Diseases and to study the disease pattern in Asia Pacific region and other parts of the world and also to develop guidelines for their treatment. To achieve this, it provides a forum for Clinicians & Scientists to regularly meet and share their experiences and collaborate in research and education. One of the main activities of the Society has been organization of annual Asia Pacific Vascular Intervention Courses (APVIC I – APVIC X). About APVIC:- Aims & Objectives: • Learning experience for participants and platform for exchange of knowledge between key opinion leaders of the world. • To increase awareness and understanding of the complete spectrum of interventional therapies. Conference Format: • Three day meeting – Focus on medical therapy, Interventional devices and techniques, case selection and complications. • Didactic Lectures & Live Case Transmissions from various sites in Asia Pacific region • Live Case Demonstrations by various National and International Experts • Hands-on Workshops • Case Based discussions with invited International Faculty • Multidisciplinary, Educational course covering Basics and Advanced techniques of Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Basic concepts of vascular biology, New Techniques like: Endo Lasers, Stem Cell Therapy, EVAR, TEVAR, CDTT, Internal Pudendal Artery stenting for male erectile dysfunction, Interventions for Acute Stroke. Target Audience: • Vascular Interventionalists, Physicians, Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Neuroradiologists and Neurosurgeons, Nurses and Technicians.
