𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬.

Today Children from Assam interacted with Shri Minister of Education and Welfare of Plain Tribe & Backward Classes,Government of Assam and the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the BJP Manifesto, on the Assam Children’s Manifesto 2026, sharing their priorities under the 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. They highlighted key issues such as stronger child health systems, regular school health check-ups, climate-resilient schools in flood-prone areas, and the importance of inclusive education and child protection.

These recommendations emerged from consultations with 𝟑,𝟔𝟎𝟎 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟕 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐦, facilitated by the NINEISMINE Campaign in collaboration with and partner NGOs.

Dear Child Rights and Earth Rights advocates,

We warmly invite children to participate in a consultation organised by PRATYeK on Food Systems and Climate Change, organized as part of a contribution to the United Nations report on Food Systems & Climate Change.

This session will create a safe and open space for children to share their observations, experiences, and ideas about Food Systems, climate change and the surrounding of their communities. Children’s voices and perspectives will help shape recommendations that can contribute to this global discussions.

This Sunday, Anushka and Rajkumar, our YASH Child parliamentarians, walk with the trophy of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup alongside UNICEF — not just as spectators, but as voices, as dreamers, as representatives of countless children.

They’ve spoken about their rights.
They’ve demanded to be heard.
And today, they stand on a global stage — seen, valued, and included.

Because every child deserves to see how big the world can be… and to know they belong in it. 💙🏏

As part of the Assam Children’s Manifesto, PRATYeK volunteers in Chirang and Bajali, in collaboration with UNICEF Assam, conducted Child Rights and child health care sessions vis-a-vis climate change sessions across 8+ schools, reaching 800+ children.

Through written submissions, children raised their voices for safe schools, equal opportunities, quality healthcare, mental health support and climate change, clean water, sanitation, and education.

We envision an AWESOME ASSAM (A.W.S.O.M.E ASSAM) through our Inclusive Assam Manifesto — placing children’s voices at the centre of policy and action.

We want to thank our partners and UNICEF's constant support to us!

As part of the Assam Children’s Manifesto – Charter of Demands, volunteers from Chirang district and Bajali district visited more than 8 schools, conducting interactive sessions on Child Rights and facilitating written recommendations from children to present to the government.

The team successfully reached over 800 children across the two districts, creating a platform for them to share their challenges and put forward their demands for a safer, inclusive, and child-friendly Assam.

It was a proud and inspiring moment for Santosh and Dish*ta from the YASH Group (Young Advocates for Social Harmony) to interact with the captains of all teams participating in the T20 Men’s World Cup Championship on February 5th, 2026, at the Cricket Club of India, Mumbai.

As young advocates of child rights, they continue to raise their voices to protect and promote the rights of children. Their presence at such a prestigious international platform reflects the power of young leadership and meaningful youth engagement.

Meeting and spending time with their favourite cricketers would be a dream of many. And it came true for two children, Santosh Rai and Dish*ta Nirmal from the YASH group (Young Advocates for Social Harmony).

They got the opportunity to interact with the captains of all the teams participating in the T20 Men’s World Cup Championship on 5th February, 2026 in Cricket Club of India, Mumbai.

They took an exclusive photo with all the team captains and interacted with them separately as they played and gave interviews on the field. The children also met various social media influencers and interacted with them as well.

The day was filled with a lot of fun, laughter and enjoyment for the children as they watched their favourite cricketers in action on the field.
