🐾❤️ TOM URGENTLY NEEDS 4 MONTHLY SPONSORS! ❤️🐾

Our darling Tom from Sirifort has been fighting a difficult battle. When admitted to StarVet Hospital, he was severely dehydrated, anaemic, jaundiced, and suffering from kidney complications.

Thankfully, Tom is now eating and slowly recovering. ❤️ But his creatinine is still around 3, and he continues to need regular medical care, including weekly drips.

💔 Releasing Tom back onto the streets is simply not an option.

Over the last two days, I reached out to several animal welfare organisations, hoping to find him a permanent home. Unfortunately, some don't have facilities for cats, while those that do haven't responded to our messages or calls.

I spoke with Dr. Amit at StarVet, who has very kindly reduced Tom's admission and treatment charges to Rs 400 per day (Rs 12,000 per month).

Tom can now remain safely at StarVet until we find a suitable long-term medical boarding facility.

WE ARE STILL SHORT BY Rs 99,000 / $1100 FOR OUR OCTOBER FOOD FUNDS 💔

Every single day, our little kitchen cooks and packs food for 230+ dogs and cats waiting for us across the streets of Delhi.

For many of them, this is the only proper meal they will eat the entire day. They wait for our vehicle. They know our feeding timings. And we simply cannot let them down. 🐾

But this month, we are facing a huge deficit of Rs 99,000 in our food funds. Apart from the actual cost of food, we have staff salaries, fuel and other operational expenses that keep this entire feeding programme running every single day.

Some dogs become so much a part of a place that it becomes impossible to imagine that place without them. ❤️

For more than a decade, Siri Fort Sports Complex meant Baadshah and Sundari to Mudita and me. We went there almost every day, and almost every day, there they were — the two resident dogs of Siri Fort, best friends and constant companions, loved and accepted by so many people who came there.

This reel that I’m resharing from Mudita has just a few of the many videos she has of Baadshah and Sundari on her phone. Between the two of us, there must be years and years of photographs and videos scattered across old phones — so many little moments and memories that it would probably take us forever to find and put them all together.

But perhaps we don't need them all to remember what Baadshah meant to us.

He was such a gentle soul. And somewhere along the way, without us even realising it, he became part of our everyday lives and part of what made Siri Fort feel like Siri Fort.

Only someone who has loved a dog like this will understand how deeply their absence can be felt. Some dogs simply make a permanent place in your heart — and Baadshah was one of them.

Baadshah, you will always be a part of Siri Fort, a part of our memories, and a part of our hearts. ❤️

And Sundari… your best friend is deeply missed. 💔

🆘 URGENT FUNDRAISER FOR TOM 🆘

Tom is very unwell and has been diagnosed with multiple serious issues — severe dehydration, anaemia, jaundice and renal problems. His kidney values are extremely elevated and he has stopped eating.

We urgently need to raise Rs 15,000 / $167 to cover approximately 2 weeks of admission at StarVet Hospital, blood tests and oral medication.

Unfortunately, this is likely only the beginning of Tom’s care. Once stabilised, he may eventually need to be shifted to a boarding facility where he can continue receiving regular drips and supportive care for as long as he needs them.

The last two months have brought us one medical case after another. We have already had to divert a significant part of our monthly food funds towards medical treatment, and this month we struggled even to clear our September food vendor bills.

Please help us raise these crucial Rs 15,000 for Tom. A little help collectively makes an enormous difference.
