We are proud to announce the launch of the Asia-Pacific Care-Climate Hub — a regional platform advancing care-centred climate action across Asia and the Pacific. 🌏🤝
Launched through the Care and Climate Catalyst Program Asia, the Hub brings together researchers, policymakers, grassroots organisations, and social innovators to address the intersection of the climate crisis and the care crisis.
Across the region, women and girls continue to shoulder a disproportionate burden of unpaid care work — responsibilities that intensify during climate shocks such as floods, droughts, and extreme weather events. Yet, this invisible labour remains largely absent from climate adaptation and disaster resilience strategies.
Led by Dharmalife Foundation gGmbH with support from International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and in partnership with UN Women
ROAP, The Asia Foundation, Wheeler Institute for Business and Development, and the Indian School of Business, Srini Raju Centre for IT and the Networked Economy (SRITNE), ISB, the Hub aims to place care at the centre of climate resilience planning.
Through this initiative, we will:
· Generate evidence on care–climate linkages
· Pilot integrated care and climate-resilient models
· Build grassroots-to-policy networks across Asia-Pacific
· Strengthen advocacy for inclusive climate and care policies

“The climate crisis and the care crisis share a common root: an economic paradigm that renders both women’s labour and our natural environment invisible. Addressing one without the other is no longer an option.”
