Empowering Army Families: Emotional Intelligence Workshop by WWET and AWWA
December 21, 2024 – In a landmark collaboration, Waves Women Empowerment Trust (WWET) and the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) organized a transformative workshop, “The Emotion Compass: Navigating Feelings Together,” at the Army Community Center. The event aimed to enhance emotional intelligence among military families, drawing over 60 + Army wives and their children.
Led by emotional well-being expert Ms. Neeru Gupta( ) , the session explored themes like recognizing emotions, fostering trust in relationships, and embracing mindfulness. Interactive activities such as the “Mood Charades” and the “Gratitude Tree” brought the concepts to life, encouraging families to build deeper emotional connections.
“Living in a military family comes with unique challenges. This workshop has equipped us with practical tools to support each other better,” shared Mrs. Sharma, a participant. The session concluded with mindfulness meditation, providing techniques for emotional resilience.
The workshop underscored the shared mission of WWET and AWWA to empower women and families, leaving attendees with practical tools for navigating emotions.
