The Climate Reality Project, India, recognize that India is one of the front-line nations to bear maximum impact of Climate Change. The country is economically weak with highly vulnerability due to poverty, poor infrastructure and lack of mitigation and adaptation knowledge to climate disasters. With this in light, The Climate Reality Project India, aims to disseminate knowledge of climate change

to the masses quickly and explain complexities of the impacts. It is understood that sustainable development cannot be achieved by political agreements, financial incentives and technological solutions alone. We need to change how we think and act, and this is where education has a critical role to play. The Climate Reality Project India through its unique and various climate leadership models and trainings is moving ahead in India. Highlights of our Programmes:
- The Climate Reality Leadership Programme where 340 people from all over India were trained by Mr. Al Gore at New Delhi in February,2015.
- Teachers Training Programme is designed to give teachers confidence in facilitating climate change and sustainability education under which over hundreds of teachers trained.
- Climate Youth Leadership Network spread-headed by our trained teacher aims to build Leadership qualities in the students.
- The Climate Reality Project India conducted various awareness drives in association with Yes Bank, Earth Day Network, Modern School.

GLOBAL WEEK OF ACTION | DAY 7

What can happen in seven days?
Across India, students turned classrooms into action, communities into partners, and ideas into visible change.

Over the past week, young people engaged local leaders, rallied for clean energy, planted saplings, restored green spaces, cleaned riverbanks and beaches, transformed waste into resources, and inspired their communities to participate.

Today marks the culmination of a week that proved climate action is not defined by one activity or one day. It grows when more people step in, take ownership, and carry the message forward.

As we celebrate 20 years of The Climate Reality Project, Day 7 brings together hundreds of actions, countless conversations, and one shared commitment to a more sustainable future.

The Global Week of Action may conclude today, but the actions, conversations, and commitments sparked this week continue far beyond these seven days.

🌍 Seven days.
⚡ Hundreds of actions.
🌱 One growing movement.

GLOBAL WEEK OF ACTION | DAY 6

The ripple effect is growing.

What started as individual actions is now reaching communities, public spaces, local leaders, and households across India.

This week, students have planted, cleaned, learned, created, advocated, and engaged. Today, those efforts continued to travel further - from solar awareness rallies and community outreach to river and beach conservation, composting initiatives, and solutions for sustainable living.

As this week-long journey moves toward its final day, the story is no longer just about activities. It is about people carrying ideas forward and inspiring action in the places they call home.

🌍 More voices joining the conversation.
☀️ More communities embracing solutions.
⚡ One day to go.

Students are more likely to remember what they experience than what they are told.

At Prince Public School, Budh Vihar, sustainability is supported through experiences that encourage observation, participation, and responsibility - helping students connect classroom learning with real-world action.

Recognised with the Gold Award under the Green Campus Programme, the school demonstrates how environmental education can move beyond awareness and become part of the learning experience itself.

For schools, the opportunity is not only to teach sustainability, but to create spaces where students can actively participate in it.

One spell of rain can now bring entire neighbourhoods to a standstill.

In her latest blog, Climate Reality Leader Nitika Singla, a Disaster Management & Sustainability Practitioner, reflects from the frontlines of community response and disaster preparedness - where climate change is already reshaping daily life across .

Drawing from experiences on the ground, the piece explores why communities are no longer facing one disaster at a time, why resilience must begin before the sirens, and why climate adaptation and disaster preparedness can no longer be treated separately.

Because disasters are no longer rare interruptions to normal life. They are becoming indicators of a changing climate.
