The Understanding and Addressing Bullying workshop was conducted by the Sleepwell Foundation at Maharana Pratap Institute of Education, Noida, with the participation of 110 students. As part of the Emotional Wellness Programme, the workshop empowered students to recognise different forms of bullying, understand their emotional impact, and respond with empathy and confidence. Through discussions, videos, real-life stories, and reflective activities, students explored physical, verbal, social, emotional, and cyberbullying while learning about responsible digital behaviour, assertive communication, and the importance of seeking help. The sessions encouraged students to become supportive bystanders and fostered meaningful conversations around respect, inclusion, and emotional safety. Practical recommendations were shared with school leaders, including stronger anti-bullying policies, peer support systems, confidential reporting mechanisms, parent orientations, and teacher capacity building. The initiative aligns with the NEP 2020, CBSE School Safety and Anti-Bullying Guidelines, POCSO Act, 2012, and Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, while contributing to SDGs 3, 4, 5, and 16 by promoting emotional well-being, inclusive education, gender equality, child protection, and responsible citizenship.
