Gandhian Integrated Forum Trust and its Youth wing –Youth forum for Gandhian Studies have been conducting competitions for more than three decades in association with Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan, Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya Samithi, Tamil Nadu Harijan Sevak Sangh, Akhil Bharat Rachanatmak Samaj and Maruthi Agency on the occasion ofGandhian Integrated Forum Trust and its Youth wing –Youth forum for Gandhian Studies have been conducting competitions for more than three decades in association with Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan, Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya Samithi, Tamil Nadu Harijan Sevak Sangh, Akhil Bharat Rachanatmak Samaj and Maruthi Agency on the occasion of Independence Day and the Birth Day of Acharya Vinoba Bhave(11 Sept.,), Mahatma Gandhi (2nd Oct.) and Didi Nirmala Deshpande (17th Oct.), aiming to bring out the hidden, creative talents from the youth and students. Every Saturday our School staff are doing some creative activity- learning through fun and festivity.

🪻🪻🪻Today we celebrate Blue colour Day in our Thakkar Bapa Nursery and Primary School. This day is celebrated to help young children learn color recognition in a fun, interactive way.
Students explore elements associated with the color, such as the sky, oceans, and bodies of water.
Children wore blue clothing, brought blue objects like car, blue colour paper, chart, doll, and participate in creative activity in the theme "Save water Save Earth ".
Also Children brought blue colour snacks like jamun,kolukattai made from rice flour and sangu poo. Blue tea is also made from Sangu poo.
They got a better idea of how these are organized.
The color blue represents calmness, peace, and serenity. It is often used to symbolize positive traits like trust, loyalty, wisdom, and confidence.

On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami , 36th year Chennai Dist level Drawing, Colouring on any srquence from Ramayana/Mahabharat,Fancy Dress on any character from Ramayana/Mahabharat,Devotional/Patriotic Bhajans and songs, Gita recitation-Chapter-7 competitions for students from class preJg to 12th Std were organised by Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust, Gopalapuram, Chennai-60086 under the dynamic leadership of Managing Trustee Shri Manu Goel ji and hus dedicated team of Trustees on 27th and 18th July,2026.
The response was overwhelming.
Thanks to all heads of schools, parents, teachers who made a meaning full competitions by the participation of students in large numbers.
We also express our heartfelt thanks to all the eminent judges, who judged the competitions. Staff of Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust, who smilingly extended full instinted support.

Interview will be held on 11.07.26 at 10am at Thakkar Bappa Vidyalaya Campus, 58, Venkatanarayana Road, T.Nagar, Chennai-600017.Students with qualification of 8th passed or 10th passed or failed students can attend interview with mark sheet, Transfer certificate, aadhar card and other details.
For Refrigeration and AC Mechanic and Wireman Training received enough application. Only for few seats for 10th passed students in Electrician and Fitter.
THAKKAR BAPPA VIDYALAYA TRAINING:

03.07.2026 -ISSUING APPOINTMENT ORDERS TO TRAINEES SELECTED IN THE CAMPUS INTERVIEW @ THAKKAR BAPA VIDYALAYA -80-YEAR-OLD INSTITUTION PROMOTING GANDHIAN VALUES AND TRAINING YOUTH TO IMPROVE THEIR SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS.

In an event held on 03.07.2026 for issuing appointment orders to the trainees selected in the campus interview, Dr. G. Santhanam, IAS (R), former Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu, praising Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya for its commitment to promoting Gandhian values in contemporary society, emphasized the importance of companies supporting students by providing guidance, encouraging them to work with dedication, and learning through practical experiences.
Mr. N. Kumaresan from Blue Star Ltd highlighted the significance of artificial intelligence in the professional landscape. However, he stressed that technicians remain irreplaceable, urging students to continuously acquire new skills and improve daily to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving job market.
A notable success story shared by Mr. Dominic Premkumar revealed that a former student of Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya dedicated 32 years to Andrew Yule and Company, a prominent Indian public sector enterprise, thereby earning a respectable reputation for himself but also for the institution, reinforcing the importance of skill development and lifelong learning.
During the event, appointment orders were issued to 25 students from both Andrew Yule and Fujitec, a renowned Japanese elevator manufacturer. Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya serves as a technical skill training centre, aiding youth who struggle academically, thereby enhancing their socio-economic status through employment opportunities.
Currently, admissions are open for various programs. While the wireman and air conditioning trades are filled, a few seats remain for electrician and fitter courses. Additionally, courses in carpentry, multi-skill trading, tailoring, and beautician services are available, with training supported by Blue Star Ltd.
