Everlasting love by the old students to the ex staff Kasiammal.
Though Mr.Manickam is missing after serving long years, our memories with him will be ringing in our ears as long as we live.
On compassionate grounds, Rs.10,000/- each by Smt.Padma Venkataraman, Vice President of the Hostel,Shri.P.Maruthi, State President and Rs.30000/- from the hostel, Totalling to Rs.50,000/- was hiven to Mrs.Kasiammal.
Honouring well-wishers dedicated staff of the hostel and old students and distributing prizes to the students of the hostel for whom we are constructing a new ladies hostel in the place of dilapidated old Hostel.
For Didi Nirmala Deshpande Nilayam-Ladies hostel to complete the project in full,we need Rs.3,66,05,0000/-(Rs. Three crores sixty six lakhs five thousand) to complete balabce Rs.14642 Sq.ft.
To renovate old Building to make it a skill training Centre,as per the quote received before war: Rs.15 Lakhs.
Brief History of the ladies hostel project under proposal:
As you may aware, we are constructing a new ladies hostel under Harijan Sevak Sangh, (founded and the only institution for which constitution was written by Mahatma Gandhi in 1932 and presently headed by Dynamic, humanirarian senior, role midel Gandhian prof. Dr. Sankar Kumar Sanyal )in the name of our Guru Beloved Gandhian Didi Nirmala Deshpande to provide FREE International Standard Accommodation to the girls hailing from Different difficult family backgrounds, mostly across the state to pursue education upto professional level, skill Training according to their choice.As saying goes," If a girl child educated not only she is the beneficiary but the whole family."
