While the does lay emphasis on urban infrastructure through initiatives such as the Smart Cities Mission (SCM) and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), questions arise about the inclusivity and holistic impact quotient of these development plans.

About the Programme:

Like previous years, CBGA is organising its flagship programme on the Union Budget on July 26, 2024. You are aware that this being an election year, the interim Union Budget was presented in February, 2024. The newly elected government will now be presenting a full budget for the year 2024-25 on July 23, 2024.

The programme will facilitate an informed discussion on the Union Budget 2024-25 with experts. The discussion will focus on the policy priorities in the budget and its implications for different sections of the population. The programme aims to strengthen public engagement with the discourse on fiscal policy priorities in the country.
