BLESSINGS's primary and nursery tuition tent schools operate every weekday within the Okhla slum camp. These provide free accessible education to children who could not otherwise go to school because of lack of money or work and family commitments. Classes are taught by teachers with help from volunteers.

A Moment of Recognition. A Reminder to Keep Rising.

We are deeply honoured and grateful to share that Blessings Foundation has received the “Delhi Rising Award” from The Coverage News in appreciation of our work and efforts towards women’s empowerment and community development.

This recognition is not just an award for us — it is a reminder of the countless women, girls, children and families whose journeys inspire us to keep serving with sincerity, compassion and purpose.

At Blessings Foundation, we believe that empowerment begins when a woman is given an opportunity to learn, earn, express herself, build confidence and make informed choices for her future.

Over the years, our journey has taken us into communities where women often have limited access to education, skills, opportunities and platforms. From supporting women in developing livelihood skills to creating spaces for learning, confidence-building and entrepreneurship, every small step is driven by one simple belief:

When a woman rises, she doesn’t rise alone — she creates possibilities for her family and inspires the community around her.

When young minds get a platform, their words can create an impact.

At Blessings, we believe every girl carries a story, an opinion, a dream — and sometimes, all she needs is the right platform to let her voice be heard.

We were delighted to see our girl students participate in an Essay Writing Contest organised by Rukhsar Khan where they put their thoughts, creativity and perspectives into words.

And the best part? Watching their faces light up when they were recognised and awarded for their efforts.

For us, these prizes are not just certificates or gifts. They represent confidence, courage, creativity and the belief that every child’s voice matters.

A heartfelt BIG THANK YOU to the entire Mukhtalif team for creating such a meaningful opportunity for our students. Your encouragement reminds young girls that their ideas deserve to be heard, their efforts deserve to be celebrated, and their dreams deserve space to grow.

Our Baal Mela was not just an event — it was a journey of confidence, courage, and self-expression.
More than 200+ children stepped forward, participated, performed, and proved that talent exists everywhere — it just needs the right platform.

Begging is not a solution — it’s a cycle.
And every coin we give on the street often keeps that cycle alive.

Many reports n ground realities show that organized begging exists, where children r kept away from schools n pushed into streets because begging brings daily income. When we give money, we may feel we helped… but in reality, we might be unknowingly supporting a system that takes away their chance at education, dignity, n a better future.

Real change doesn’t come from temporary help.
It comes from education, skills, n opportunities.

Education gives a child the power to stand on their own feet.
It builds confidence, opens doors, and breaks generations of poverty — something begging can never do.

Instead of encouraging begging, let’s choose to support what truly matters:
