India's new criminal laws came into force on the 1st of July 2024. These laws aim to decolonize our criminal justice system, emphasise citizen-centric procedures, and aim to prioritise justice over mere punishment.

But the big question remains: Do these laws stand the test of our constitutional values?

Join us as Kapil Sibal delivers Vidhi's inaugural lecture on Crime & Punishment in India. The details of the event are as follows:

🗓Date: 26th July 2024

As comes to a close, we invite you to reflect upon the state of q***r rights in India. Marriage however is a deeply contested institution and has been subject to critique within the q***r community. Dr. Madhavi Menon of Ashoka University articulates this critique and makes a case for divorcing’ rights from .

On 9th May, 2024, Vidhi launched the Model Code on Indian Family Law at the Roundtable organised in with the India International Centre on the ‘Future of Family Law Reforms’, where we were joined by a diverse set of voices expressing a plurality of perspectives.
