Fire Outbreak at Vikas Nagar, Lucknow

Incident Overview:
On the night of April 15, a devastating fire broke out in Vikas Nagar, Lucknow, engulfing the entire settlement. The blaze rapidly spread across the area, completely destroying over 300 jhuggis (temporary shelters) and leaving hundreds of families in distress.

Current Situation:

Massive Loss: More than 300 families have been rendered homeless overnight.

Complete Destruction: All belongings—including clothing, bedding, food supplies, and critical documents—have been reduced to ashes.

Ground Reality: A field visit by the SBF Ground Report Team confirms that survivors are left with nothing but the clothes they were wearing and are currently struggling without even the most basic necessities.

Immediate Needs:

Emergency Shelter: Tarpaulins (Tirpal) and temporary tents to protect families from exposure.

Food & Drinking Water: Dry ration kits and access to safe, clean drinking water.

Basic Essentials: Kitchen utensils, clothing, blankets, and bedding materials for daily survival.

Urgency Level: HIGH
Immediate humanitarian intervention is critical to prevent further suffering. Timely support can help provide temporary shelter, food security, and dignity to the affected families.

Appeal:
We urge individuals, organizations, and well-wishers to come forward and support the relief efforts at the earliest.

घटना का विवरण:
15 अप्रैल की रात को विकास नगर, लखनऊ में एक भीषण आग लग गई, जिसने पूरे इलाके को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया। इस आग में 300 से अधिक झुग्गियाँ पूरी तरह जलकर राख हो गईं, जिससे सैकड़ों परिवार गहरे संकट में आ गए।

वर्तमान स्थिति:

भारी नुकसान: 300 से अधिक परिवार एक ही रात में बेघर हो गए।

पूर्ण विनाश: लोगों के कपड़े, बिस्तर, राशन और जरूरी दस्तावेज सब कुछ जलकर नष्ट हो गया।

जमीनी हकीकत: SBF ग्राउंड रिपोर्ट टीम के निरीक्षण के अनुसार, पीड़ित परिवारों के पास अब कुछ भी नहीं बचा है और वे बुनियादी जरूरतों के बिना जीवन यापन करने को मजबूर हैं।

तत्काल आवश्यकताएं:

आश्रय (Shelter): तिरपाल (तिरपाल) और अस्थायी टेंट

खाद्य एवं पेयजल: सूखा राशन और स्वच्छ पीने का पानी

जरूरी सामग्री: रसोई के बर्तन, कपड़े, कंबल और बिस्तर

आपात स्थिति: अत्यधिक गंभीर

Society for Bright Future (SBF), Kolkata Zone Organizes Grand Eight-Team Cricket Tournament in Howrah

Sahnawaz khan,Howrah, West Bengal
The Society for Bright Future (SBF), Kolkata Zone successfully organized a vibrant eight-team cricket tournament with participation from ten area cores.

The tournament was held at the Melok Bishalakshi Club Ground in Deulti, Howrah, and witnessed enthusiastic participation and support from local youth and community members.

The event was graced by the Honorable State Convener of SBF, Sheikh Md. Arifullah, as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished Special Guests were Amirul Hasan (Convener, Nimdighi Area), Shahnawaz Khan (Convener, Kolkata Zone), Sheikh Nasirullah (Convener, Howrah District), and Sheikh Miraj (Co-Convener), along with several conveners from different area cores. The program was further honored by the presence of the President of Bishalakshi Club, local Panchayat members, respected Imam Sahab, and eminent social workers.

The primary objective of the tournament was to showcase the activities and mission of SBF to the wider public, strengthen social harmony and brotherhood, and encourage youth to engage in constructive and positive activities through sports.

In a thrilling final match, Panchla Area Core emerged as the Champion, while Nimdighi Area Core secured the Runner-up position. Trophies were awarded to both teams, along with individual recognitions for outstanding performances, including Man of the Series, Man of the Match, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Best Fielder.

Special acknowledgment goes to Sheikh Mehraj, Convener of Deulti Area Core, for his significant role in organizing the event successfully.

The tournament received an overwhelming response from local youth and created a lively and energetic atmosphere. Such initiatives are expected to pave the way for more community-driven social and sporting activities in the future.
