“We do not yet know everything it will take to create the conditions for youth leadership to truly thrive.”

What feels heavy for one organisation to hold alone, became a ground for experimentation when 25 youth-centric organisations in vartaLeap held it together.
With shared belief, diverse experiences, and a willingness to learn, we set out to inspire stakeholders to invest in youth leadership.

Doing this collectively did more than just bring people together. It created space for vulnerability, challenged us to look at ourselves more honestly, and shifted our attention to things we may have otherwise overlooked.
This carousel shares the beginning of this journey and what we have learnt so far!

Celebrating all vartaLeap members who brought their head, heart, and feet into this process, and who continue to believe deeply in the power of youth leadership.

There’s a long way to go yet. Come, journey with us.

Podcast Series | When young leaders and their parents had a Mulaqat: Beyond Right and Wrong…
Episode: "Phir Aage Kya Socha Hai?” | So, what have you thought about your future?

The bridge between generations is often blocked by unsaid expectations, especially between young people and their parents.

But what happens when they stop trying to be "right" and start trying to understand each other?

In this episode of podcast series Mulakaat: Beyond Right and Wrong, our host, content creator and influencer Robin, brought together youth leaders Swati, Ankush and their fathers Kashinath and Vikrant.

Together, they tried moving past the "who is right" argument to dive deep into the friction between parental dreams and youth aspirations.

Could they find a common ground that exists beyond judgment?

We’re hiring: Agroecology Network Associate

Across India, young people are re-imagining food, farming, and livelihoods through agroecology.
And we’re looking for someone who would like to be part of that journey. Someone who can move between youth spaces, farmer collectives, field visits, and project systems - someone who is as comfortable with people as they are with budgets and trackers.

This is not a narrow “agriculture” role or a purely “youth” role. It sits at the intersection of both supporting a growing, youth-led agro-ecology network across regions.

Location: Jorhat or Delhi (hybrid, with travel)

We’re less interested in perfect CVs, and more interested in people who care deeply about working with youth and food system transformation, are willing to learn, and enjoy working in collectives.

If you know someone early in their journey who would thrive in a role like this, please share this with them.

Applications will be screened are on a rolling basis.
