Azad Foundations's Women With Wheels programme trains women to become professional drivers— breaking traditional gender roles and building women’s economic independence.

Meet KRIS for Peace, a Harmony in Diversity Fund grantee launching the ASEAN Peace Exchange (APEX) Leadership Programme.

Over 24 months, APEX will bring together emerging leaders from all ASEAN Member States to advance peacebuilding, social cohesion, and regional collaboration.

Led by Arizza Nocum and Natasha Latiff, APEX champions the next generation of leaders shaping a more peaceful and connected ASEAN.

The Harmony in Diversity Fund, launched by AVPN in partnership with Temasek Foundation, The Silent Foundation, and Nagulendran Philanthropy Alliance, supports community-led efforts that champions social cohesion and harmony.

When Mhasikhonuo, the founder of Berries on Terrace, started the business, it began as a small effort to grow safe, pesticide‑free strawberries in a limited rooftop space. With no formal background in agriculture, many early decisions around planting, harvesting, branding, and pricing were made through trial and error.

That shifted with access to Junior Achievement India Services’s AI Fundamentals Trainings, as part of AVPN’s AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific, supported by Google.org and ADB. Through the programme, Mhasikhonuo learnt how practical, accessible AI tools could support deeper research, yield estimation, branding and packaging design, and early revenue projections. By using AI as a planning and decision‑support tool, she gained the confidence to explore new markets and future growth opportunities.

How do we solve a crisis when the momentum is high, but the funding is fragile?

At the AVPN Global Conference 2026, we gathered leaders to forge a unified blueprint for ending tuberculosis in Asia. Moderated by Naina Subberwal Batra (CEO, AVPN), the panel featured:
- Punya Salila Srivastava (Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India)
- Boon Heong Ng (CEO, Temasek Foundation)

At the opening of the AVPN Global Conference 2026, Naina Subberwal Batra called for gender to be embedded across the conversations shaping Asia’s future.

Over the three days that followed, this intention came to life. Across discussions on economic opportunity, care, climate, health, philanthropy and investment, one message resonated: these issues do not affect everyone equally, and lasting solutions must address the systems and power structures that shape women’s lives.

Integrating a gender lens is not simply about including women in the conversation. It is about changing how we understand challenges, direct capital and design solutions for a more inclusive Asia.

Over 80% of people across Asia and the Pacific face compounding, multi-hazard climate risks. Protecting health and building real community resilience now requires fast, locally led innovation.

Unveiled at the AVPN Global Conference 2026 in New Delhi, Nexa Lighthouse is a new initiative designed to deploy catalytic capital into frontline climate and health solutions.

The initiative will fund innovations tackling three urgent health threats:
- Changing patterns of mosquito-borne diseases like malaria and dengue
- Extreme heat: Safeguarding vulnerable populations from dangerous temperature spikes.
- Air quality: Strengthening health systems against pollution and respiratory hazards.

Funding calls open in October 2026.

The post-Conference buzz is still going strong, and we’re looking back at where it all began.

Even before the main stage opened on 25 August, our community was already hitting the ground running across Delhi.

Pre-Conference activities set the stage for the AVPN Global Conference 2026 with an impactful lineup of sessions, regional ecosystem gatherings, and cross-market opportunities:
- Climate Pathfinders: A field visit to Shahi Exports in Faridabad gave participants a hands-on look at operational decarbonisation that balances business sustainability with worker welfare.
- Private Wealth Programme: An intimate evening brought together family foundations, principals, and advisors, many new to AVPN, for candid, personal conversations surrounding the motivations and values driving their giving.
- Specialised Fellowships: Immersive workshops across Philanthropy and AI for Good challenged fellows to navigate practical AI adoption and strategic leadership within their organisations.
- The Vision Dinner: A gathering where leaders and funders tackled the big question: how do we deliberately align Asia’s wealth, innovation, and policy to move capital beyond pilots toward true regional scale?
