Our focus is on Development, Impact and Sustainability of the communities. Third Planet Foundation specialises in field level implementation of wide range of socio-economic development Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in the areas of Community & Rural Development, Poverty Alleviation, Quality Education, Skill & Livelihood Development, Quality Healthcare, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Women Empowerment, Agriculture Development, Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation and Environment Sustainability including Promotion of Renewable Energy. 👁️ Over half of India’s population experiences some form of visual impairment related to refractive errors.
For many, blurred vision, difficulty reading or trouble seeing clearly can go unnoticed, affecting everyday life, education, work and independence.
This World Sight Day 2026, we are reminded that means recognising the importance of regular eye care and making access to vision screening and appropriate care easier for communities.
At Third Planet Foundation, our work in community healthcare includes bringing specialised eye health services closer to communities through eye health camps and vision screening initiatives.

Restoring water resources, one village at a time.💧
Across multiple villages in Haryana, our team is excavating, restoring, and rejuvenating wells as part of a broader water conservation initiative.

ABB India Foundation supports this water conservation CSR initiative, which is implemented by Third Planet Foundation, with a focus on water resource management, groundwater conservation, and building more resilient communities.
From well excavation to restoration and rejuvenation, these interventions are focused on strengthening existing community water resources and supporting sustainable water management at the local level.

A classroom can be the starting point for a new opportunity.
In Kargil, our trainees are spending their time learning, practising, and building skills that can help them take the next step into the world of work.
From understanding the basics to developing practical knowledge, every training session is a chance to learn something new, build confidence and prepare for future opportunities.
These learners are part of the Youth Acceleration Program, a CSR skill development initiative supported by Foundation and implemented by Third Planet Foundation in Kargil, Ladakh.
The programme is part of our continued work towards youth skill development, digital and vocational learning, employability and livelihood opportunities for young people.
Because sometimes, creating change starts with something as simple as giving a young person the opportunity to learn.

What consequences arise when groundwater disappears from beneath the surface? 💧🌱
Groundwater lies beneath our feet, but its importance extends far beyond that. It's a vital natural resource for communities, agriculture, and ecosystems. Sustainable groundwater recharge replenishes underground supplies and supports long-term water security and resource management.
In Haryana, issues like waterlogging and surface runoff highlight the need for enhanced groundwater recharge, rainwater management, and water conservation efforts.
Through our Water Stewardship Program, supported by ABB India Foundation, Third Planet Foundation is engaged in activities such as rejuvenating community ponds, restoring open wells, check dams, improving groundwater recharge, and raising community awareness about sustainable water use.
These efforts aim to enhance groundwater replenishment, water storage, and local water security, while also reducing waterlogging and boosting community resilience.

A new batch. A new beginning. A continued journey of youth empowerment in Kargil. 🏔️
The Youth Acceleration Program in Kargil, Ladakh, implemented by Third Planet Foundation with support from Infosys Foundation, continues to create opportunities for youth skill development, IT-ITeS training, and employability.

The new cohort begins with an orientation to the programme, Skill Development Centre and their respective IT-ITeS trades. Trainees are also introduced to the tools and equipment that will form part of their learning journey. The journey starts by understanding the learners too. Pre-assessment and the Rosenberg

Self-Esteem Test helps establish an initial understanding of knowledge, skills and self-esteem, allowing the programme to better recognise learning and skill gaps.
From skill development in Kargil to building confidence and future-ready capabilities, this programme expands access to opportunity for young people in Ladakh.
We’re proud to continue this collaboration with Infosys Foundation and Kargil's youth.

Literacy is more than reading; it is a foundation for opportunities, empowerment and inclusion.
This International Literacy Day, we look beyond literacy as a number and towards the opportunities that education can create.
According to the PLFS 2023-24, literacy among people aged 7 years and above stands at 87.2% for males and 74.6% for females, highlighting a 12.6 percentage-point gender gap in literacy in India.
Bridging such gaps requires sustained investment in quality education, inclusive learning, digital literacy, skill development and community participation.
At Third Planet Foundation, our CSR implementation work in education includes digital and STEM education, bridge and remedial learning, teacher development, counselling and career exposure, alongside interventions focused on women empowerment and livelihood development.
Because literacy is not just about knowing how to read and write. It is about having the knowledge, skills and confidence to learn, participate and progress.
This International Literacy Day, let’s close the gap and open doors to opportunity.
