We at the NPL Former Scientists Forum express our deepest sorrow over the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, which claimed over 240 lives. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, the injured, and the entire community affected by this devastating incident.

As retired scientists, we recognize the profound loss - not only of lives but of potential and promise. We commend the efforts of emergency responders and investigators working through this crisis.

In this moment of national grief, we stand in solidarity with all those affected and join the world in mourning.

With heartfelt condolences,
