On the occasion of International Women’s Day, EFRAH Society organized special events at various centres with the support of donors. The main objective of these programs was to raise awareness among women about their rights and entitlements and highlight their important role in society. During the sessions, women were informed that empowerment is not just a word but a vital step toward self-reliance, self-confidence, and a dignified life. They were also educated about their legal and social rights, as well as government schemes, enabling them to make informed decisions. At the end of the program, women who showed outstanding support to their peer groups were honored, inspiring others to move forward.

As part of the Health Campaign under the SBI Foundation’s Sashakti Vertical, EFRAH successfully conducted a Health & Hygiene Awareness Session in collaboration with the PINKSHE Foundation.

This initiative focused on promoting personal hygiene, menstrual health awareness, and overall well-being, empowering participants with the knowledge and confidence to make informed health choices. Through interactive discussions and open conversations, we aimed to break stigmas and encourage healthy habits within the community.

Together, we move closer to building healthier, stronger, and more empowered communities.

EFRAH promotes collective action as a powerful pathway to women’s empowerment. The collective Self-Help Group model fosters collaboration, mutual support, and shared responsibility within the community. Regular meetings strengthen trust, leadership, and participatory decision-making while encouraging consistent savings and financial discipline.
These groups create a safe and supportive space where members can openly discuss health, education, hygiene, and community well-being, and work together to address everyday challenges. The platform also serves as an effective medium for spreading awareness about government social security schemes, legal rights and grievance redressal mechanisms such as the Right to Information (RTI), Right to Education (RTE), and the Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS), and access to public services, thereby strengthening community participation and sustainable empowerment.

The SHG training under HCL funded project "Women on Change" at EFRAH, was successfully conducted with the participation of SHG members in Noida. The session highlighted the key objectives of Self-Help Group (SHG) training — equipping members with essential knowledge and skills to achieve economic independence and social empowerment. The training focused on building functional capacity, enhancing self-reliance, and strengthening practical and managerial skills for sustainable livelihoods.
