The Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network (CYCN) unites passionate young leaders from 56 Commonwealth countries to drive climate action, policy advocacy, and sustainability projects.
Established in 2009, CYCN empowers thousands of youth through capacity-building, grassroots innovation, and partnerships with global institutions like the UNFCCC.
Through this collaboration, The Indian Vidyarthi and CYCN aim to amplify youth voices, promote climate literacy, and equip students to become leaders of a sustainable tomorrow.

Meet the Judges:

Radhika Bhardwaj is an incoming third-year International Relations student at Ashoka University, India. She currently interns with Rajya Sabha MP Shri Dhairyashil Patil, contributing to parliamentary research and policy initiatives. Radhika also served as the National Outreach Head at , spearheading educational outreach across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, connecting students with bodies like the UN, Commonwealth Students’ Association, and G20 Youth India.

She worked as Administrator at The Emissary, a youth-led mass media firm, where she coordinated international expansion and curated impactful conversations with leaders such as Mr. Naveen Jindal, industrialist and former MP, and Ms. Garvita Gulhati, founder of Why Waste and Forbes 30 under 30 honouree. Through this, she organised fundraising events supporting LGBTQ+ communities and promoted youth engagement in sustainability and social change.

At the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations Conference 2023, Radhika proposed ASAR, a sustainable agricultural restoration model for Nepal, while her innovative digital solution for social impact won her the Moonshot Award from Facebook (Meta). Her leadership journey began as Head Girl of her school with 5000+ students.

She was also the founder of S.O.U.L.Ed which curated safe spaces for young people to engage with social issues during Covid-19 pandemic and has been featured as India Today’s youngest youth leader and Hindustan Times’ inspiring changemaker.

Somya Maan is a Political Science research student at Hindu College, University of Delhi. She has previously interned with a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, contributing to legislative research and constituency development. Somya is also a Bharat Vivekananda Fellow, exploring governance, policy reform, and civic engagement through interdisciplinary research.

Meet the Mentor:

Omm Priyadarshi is a seasoned development practitioner with extensive experience in grassroots-level work and policy advocacy. He has represented India at prestigious international forums such as BRICS and the Commonwealth. A former Treasurer of the G20 Youth, Omm's leadership extends into global youth diplomacy.

He is also a recipient of the Prime Minister Young Author Award, recognized for his contributions to literature and development discourse. His travels across all 29 states, over 400 cities, and more than 6,000 villages in India have deepened his understanding of the country's diverse socio-economic landscape.

Meet the Mentor:

Anika Joshi is a penultimate-year International Relations student at King’s College London. She currently serves as Chief of Staff for the Policy and Advocacy Committee of the Commonwealth Youth Council, where she oversees global youth initiatives and strategic planning. She is also the President of the INSA UK – KCL Chapter and Head of Staff at the Indian Youth Diplomacy Forum. Her past experiences include internships at the High Commission of India in London and the Centre for Policy Research and Governance, where she contributed to research on the Indo-Pacific, education, and public finance. She has also worked with organisations like The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, Civics Unplugged, and Studomatrix, handling roles in research, communications, and event management. Anika has consistently taken on leadership and coordination roles in both academic and professional settings, with a focus on governance, diplomacy, and youth engagement.

Anirban Dutta is serving as a Lead at the Centre for Diplomacy and Innovation, Engagement Relations at The Geostrata. Apart from his current role, he has served as a Tactical Intelligence Analyst, monitoring security events and reporting on-ground intelligence. He is experienced in managing political liaisoning initiatives, running Track - 1.5 and 2 dialogue programs and initiatives involving governmental bodies, think tanks on world affairs, foreign policy initiatives, and international security. He has completed his Masters degree from the Symbiosis School of International Studies, Pune, India.

Meet the Mentor:

Falit Sijariya is the Head of Indian Delegation of G20 Youth Summit 2023 and the Head of Delegate Affairs, Y20 India 2023. He is the Founder of Diplomatron as well as Studomatrix (All India school student organisation spread over 150+ cities with 100,000+ students). Studomatrix is Member (Observer) of the Commonwealth Students Association and Associate Member of the Global Student Forum.
He is also the elected Regional Representative (Asia) of the Commonwealth Students Association.
He is the first Indian to serve on the Pool of Trainers of the Organizing Bureau of European School Students' Union where he is mandated to create and deliver offline courses in student activism and narratives for the office bearers of the national school student organizations of all the European countries. He is also on the Working Group on UNESCO World Higher Education Conference and the Global Student Declaration of the Global Student Forum.

He is also the Academic President of Delhi University Students’ Union, one of the world’s largest students’ unions, representing 0.3 Million+ students. His focus areas include skill education, climate justice, gender justice, and equality, bridging the gap between privileged and marginalized communities and regions to create an equitable education system, and empowering a generation of innovators. He is regularly invited to address various conferences and institutions, including GIC Chadwick (Seoul, South Korea), Rotary Mumbai U-19 Conclave, Toastmasters Meerut, Lady Irwin College (Delhi), and others. His works on public policy and international relations have also been published by multiple reputed think tanks.
