Water bodies of Dwarka Its an effort to revive more than 33 water bodies in Dwarka subcity in Delhi. There is enormous rainwater flowing in Dwarka from nearby catchments.

We, as members of local resident community of Dwarka sub city in Delhi , have been trying to revive the 33 + water bodies. It started since June, 2012. Volunteer labor by people, advocacy, public sensitization, media networking, litigation etc are various activities that have been conducted. Dwarka, being a low lying area receives immense storm water form nearby catchments like airport and other c

olonies. But, all this goes waste into Najafgarh drain, the water bodies remain thirsty. We are struggling with Govt agencies to get water reach these water bodies, but its a herculean task. They neither do it themselves, nor allow us to do. The struggle goes on !
