At the Skoll World Forum, we joined global leaders across philanthropy, government, and civil society to talk about what it will truly take to deliver Early Childhood Care and Education at scale.

Across panels and conversations, these were our key takeaways:
Ditch the Silos: Progress for young children requires funders, implementers, and governments to work in deep partnership, not just in parallel.
Scale Over Shortcuts: Lasting impact happens by embedding solutions within government systems. In 5 years, this approach has reached 400,000+ Anganwadi workers and 6M+ parents and children.
AI with Heart: Innovation should never replace human connection. We’re using AI to amplify the agency of caregivers and frontline workers, not dilute it.
The Funding Gap: ECCE is a high-return investment, yet it receives only a fraction of global funding. The challenge isn't finding what works—it’s funding and scaling what works, faster.

As part of the 8th Poshan Pakhwada 2026, a nationwide campaign by the Ministry of Women and Child Development under Mission Poshan 2.0, our state teams turned awareness into action across communities. The campaign focuses on improving maternal and child nutrition, early stimulation, and healthy behaviours along with the spotlight on maximising brain development in the first six years of life.

From Meghalaya, our team engaged with ASHA workers, community leaders, and frontline stakeholders in the Garo region, using the platform to spark conversations on maternal nutrition and introduce the importance of early childhood education.

To Rajasthan, teams worked hand-in-hand with Anganwadi centres to drive large-scale community participation through nutrition camps, storytelling sessions, toy-making workshops, and family play activities, bringing together health, learning, and behaviour change in one place.

To Uttarakhand, parents didn’t just attend the celebrations, they participated. From understanding developmental milestones to reflecting on screen time and play-based learning, families became active partners in their child’s growth journey.

While the 8th Poshan Pakhwada may have come to an end, the spirit of nutrition, early stimulation, and healthy habits continues every single day in the communities we work with.

Anganwadi workers are the frontline force behind healthier mothers and thriving children—translating national nutrition goals into everyday action within communities. They guide families on nutrition during pregnancy and early childhood, promote breastfeeding and age-appropriate feeding, monitor growth to catch malnutrition early, and connect communities to essential health services.

During the 8th Poshan Pakhwada 2026, we marked a special milestone in Chandauli, Uttar Pradedsh —recognising and celebrating the efforts of frontline champions through a certificate distribution ceremony.

Through initiatives like these, we’re strengthening ecosystems—where nutrition, play-based learning, and community come together to build stronger beginnings.

What began as a focused effort in early childhood development has grown into a national movement, now reaching 200+ districts across 16 States and Union Territories.

Today, we are impacting 6 million children (0–6 years) across 420,000 classrooms in India, powered by a network of 400,000+ Anganwadi workers, reaching nearly 30% of India’s public education ecosystem.

From Uttarakhand to Tripura, Punjab to Andhra Pradesh, and even the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, this is what scale with intent looks like.

This progress is fuelled by a collective force, government partners, Anganwadi workers, parents, and communities, working together to give every child the strongest possible start.

And we’re just getting started.

That’s why we recently brought together our Leadership teams—including key spokespeople across verticals—for an immersive media training workshop. The session was conducted by our Communications Team with multiple years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, and newsroom leadership.
