Today, June 5th, the world unites to celebrate World Environment Day, a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect and restore our beautiful planet.
It is a day to honour the earth and champion the voices leading the charge toward a sustainable future.

To honour this special occasion, on 6th of June 2026, 6:30 PM @ Muktadhara Basement a dynamic group of young changemakers in Delhi are stepping into the spotlight to share their vision for a greener tomorrow.
​The Bengal Association’s Green Warriors Kids are taking over the stage for a powerful, heart-filled celebration of the planet.
A dedicated team of talented children have put their hearts and souls into preparing a series of super fun, inspiring performances dedicated to Mother Earth.

They may be small in size, but these young eco-champions are ready to make a massive impact.

গতকাল ১৯শে মে, ২০২৬ সন্ধ্যায় মুক্তধারা বেসমেন্টে আয়োজিত হল ভাষা শহিদ স্মরণ। ১৯শে মে ও ভাষা আন্দোলনের উপর অত্যন্ত মনোজ্ঞ ও প্রাসঙ্গিক বক্তব্য রাখলেন শ্রী দেবপ্রসাদ রায়, শ্রীমতী কৃষ্ণা মিশ্র ভট্টাচার্য এবং অধ্যাপক অমিতাভ চক্রবর্তী। শেষে হিবিজিবি বাহিনী একটি সুন্দর শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি দিল ভাষা শহিদদের।
সমগ্র অনুষ্ঠানটি সঞ্চালনা করলেন শ্রীমতী গোপা বসু।

প্রসঙ্গত কৃষ্ণা মিশ্র ভট্টাচার্য ও অধ্যাপক চক্রবর্তী উভয়ই বরাকের এবং শ্রী রায় আলিপুরদুয়ারের। ফলত মূল বাংলা সংস্কৃতির পীঠস্থানে ভাষা শহিদ দিবসের অবহেলা করার যে অভ্যাস তা থেকে এঁরা মুক্ত। ফলস্বরূপ আলোচনাটি খুবই প্রাসঙ্গিক হয়।

মাতৃভাষাকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে হলে, মাতৃভাষায় বাধাহীনভাবে নিজের মতামত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতাকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে হলে ভাষা শহিদদের কথা আমাদের প্রতিনয়ত স্মরণে রাখতে হবে।
