Policy Perspectives Foundation (PPF) launched its project ‘Protsahan’ with help of the Container Corporation of India Ltd. CONCOR a PSE, (A Govt. of India undertaking, under administrative control of Ministry of Railways) adopt a skill development training and handholding for employment as strategies to make women economically empowered. The training programmes will cover specific sets of skills namely ‘office management’ and tailoring. While the former will help women find entry-level employment in retail, finance, public relations, self-employment and other business establishments.
The goal of Project Protsahan is to end economic dependence and socially ascribed inequality of women whose vulnerability lies greatly in inadequate access to employment opportunities. The objective to achieve the above goal is to empower the targeted women economically.
