As a former Physics Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, with 40+ years of pioneering fiber optics & quantum photonics. A huge thank you to Prof. K Thyagarajan for delivering a masterful talk on Integrated Quantum Photonics (IQP) at IIT Delhi SPIE Student Chapter today!

Special highlight: Prof. Thyagarajan brought copies of his newly published book Integrated Quantum Photonics (Graduate Texts in Physics) – Springer, Oct 2025! Textbook provides comprehensive coverage of the fundamentals of IQP and its key applications.

Topic: "Integrated Quantum Photonics"
Photons are revolutionizing quantum technologies; computing, key distribution, teleportation and beyond. Integrated quantum photonics brings these capabilities to compact chips through spontaneous parametric down-conversion in waveguides, generating entangled photon pairs, squeezed states, and low-noise amplifiers.​
Prof. Thyagarajan, with 40+ years in fiber optics & quantum photonics, shares insights on generating polarization/spatial-mode entangled states, hybrid/hyperentangled states, and higher-dimensional entanglement.
