A year ago, while developing a nesting island in the middle of a pond, an expert gave me simple advice:

“Don’t plant anything here. Leave it to nature. Birds will bring the seeds they prefer, and nature will create the habitat.”

We trusted the process.

One year later, seeing the island naturally covered with vegetation is a beautiful reminder: sometimes, the best thing we can do for nature is simply give it space to recover. 🌿🦆

Disaster events are always difficult, for everyone. From those directly affected to those responding to an unfolding humanitarian crisis, the scale of loss and the effort required to rebuild lives can be overwhelming. No amount of support can ever seem enough when people are forced to rebuild their lives from scratch.

This is what we have learnt from the recent Assam floods, which swept away not just infrastructure and assets, but also dreams, years of hard work, and hope.

Responding to the crisis, Say Earth NGO with the support of Rozgar with Ankit and SEEDS contributed to relief efforts in the worst-affected areas of Sivasagar district. Based on the needs assessment conducted on the ground, utensil kits were distributed to 250 households, while 85 households received hygiene kits.

To help children resume their learning journey, 250 education kits were also distributed.

We are deeply grateful to Ankit Bhati from RWA and his entire team for extending their support during this critical hour of need. A special shout-out to the field team from , particularly and abdul hasib for their relentless efforts on the ground. We deeply acknowledge and appreciate their selfless service and unwavering commitment to those affected by the floods.

Say Earth, remains steadfast in its resolve to stand with communities in times of crisis and contribute towards their journey from relief to recovery and resilience.
