We contemplate for a dignified living for each being and healthy living conditions around us. Stand Sustainable Foundation works to ensure sustainability among vulnerable and marginalised communities with key focus on Sustainable Development Goals. We believe in mainstreaming of climate change, gender and access to livelihood.
Stand Sustainable Foundation, at the onset of the second wave of the pa
ndemic, realised fighting covid would be a difficult task that would require helping hands. This is why we decided to dedicate our complete effort to offer support. During the first wave, our team initiated work on Menstrual Hygiene Management as we realised that the distribution of sanitary pads had been stopped in schools, due to lockdown. We have through our Menstrual Hygiene Management Programme been able to raise and distribute 1500 re-usable sanitary pads for migrant worker families. We worked closely with Delhi Police and supported them with hand sanitisers and masks. We worked with them to create awareness on covid hygiene and Menstrual Hygiene Management in migrants' shelter homes, as well. Reusable sanitary pads were distributed so that menstruating girls and women would not have to suffer for their basic needs. Our objective was to provide gender sensitivity and support humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable families to reduce the impact of the distress.
