📍 Friends in Delhi

On this Labour Day, we turn our attention to the labour we often don’t see & the work that sustains cities, cultures, and everyday life, yet remains unrecognised and unprotected. “Tomorrow We Disappear” brings us into the lives of performers in Kathputli Colony, where art, survival and identity are shaped under the pressures of displacement and development.

As we watch these stories unfold, we’re invited to question whose labour is valued, whose futures are secured and what gets erased in the process of building our cities. Join us for a screening and conversation this Labour Day.

This screening would not have been possible without the support of who have generously offered the space and helped make this gathering possible.

“ये जो हल्का-हल्का पॉल्यूशन है
नहीं पता किसी को सॉल्यूशन है”

😍 Deep gratitude to .by.nirbhay for taking the time to create and perform this powerful song for turning confusion, frustration, anger and everyday exhaustion into music that speaks truth.

This performance at the Youth Dialogue on Air Pollution in Delhi reminded us that polluted air is not seasonal or inevitable. It is a daily injustice, shaped by silence and lack of accountability.

Historically, art and music have played a vital role in public movements naming what often feels unspeakable, raising public consciousness and transforming private suffering into collective resistance. This song carries that legacy forward.

When words fall short, art speaks.
And youth voices refuse to be muted.

95+ people showed up 🔥
not just to talk about air pollution, but to exercise their constitutional rights. ✊🏼

At the Youth-led Public Dialogue on Air Pollution in Delhi, people came together to reclaim public space, free expression, and democratic participation because polluted air is not a seasonal inconvenience, it is a daily and constitutional injustice that violates the Right to life, health, dignity, education and clean air.

From unpacking the history of air pollution and role of data, to connecting waste and mobility with urban air, to youth-led poetry, music and lived experiences. This was young people practising democracy, not performing concern.

Grateful to everyone who grounded this dialogue with knowledge, organising and lived realities. This is youth power in action claiming constitutional rights, demanding accountability, and organising collectively for the right to breathe.

💨 Growing up in Delhi means living with polluted air every single day. Masks, coughs, headaches, and fatigue aren’t “occasional” anymore, they’re normal.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. ✊

Join us for a Youth-led Public Dialogue on Air Pollution to share experiences, connect with research & policy and organise for cleaner air.

Your voice matters!

School closures, cancelled sports, poor concentration, constant coughs, stress and anxiety shouldn’t be normal.

Living with polluted air affects not just our lungs, but also mental health causing fatigue, anxiety and a constant sense of uncertainty.

We are organising a youth-led public dialogue on air pollution to talk about how polluted air is affecting education, mental health, and futures, and what accountability should look like.
