🌑 **Chandrayaan-4: Landing on the Moon & Collecting Samples! 🇮🇳🚀**

What happens after Chandrayaan-4 lands on the Moon? Its robotic systems will collect lunar soil and rock samples from the surface and beneath the ground using special drilling mechanisms.

These samples will be carefully sealed and brought back to Earth for scientific research. 🔬

Why is this important? They could help scientists understand the Moon's formation, geological history and evolution.

🇮🇳 India is preparing to bring a piece of the Moon home!

What if India’s next lunar sample-return mission needs not one, but two LVM3 launches? 🚀🚀

Chandrayaan-4 is designed around a unique mission architecture involving multiple spacecraft modules launched separately. One LVM3 launch will carry a set of lunar mission modules, while the second launch will carry the remaining modules. Once in Earth orbit, these spacecraft elements will perform precise orbital operations and rendezvous/docking, bringing the mission architecture together before the journey toward the Moon. 🌍➡️🌕

And that’s where the real space engineering begins — coordinating multiple spacecraft in orbit, travelling hundreds of thousands of kilometres to the Moon, landing, collecting lunar samples, and eventually bringing those samples safely back to Earth. 🛰️🌑🧪

This isn’t just a lunar mission… it’s a complex multi-launch, multi-module engineering challenge that could mark a major step forward for India’s space programme. 🇮🇳🚀

25/09/2026

🚀 Chandrayaan-4 is not just one spacecraft — it is a coordinated mission architecture made up of five different modules, each designed to perform a specific role in bringing lunar samples back to Earth. 🇮🇳🌕

The mission architecture includes the Descender Module, which is designed to land on the Moon; the Ascender Module, which will carry the collected samples back into lunar orbit; and the Transfer, Propulsion, and Re-entry Modules, which support the journey from lunar orbit all the way back to Earth. 🛰️

Think of it like a relay team: each module has a different job, but all five must work together for the sample-return mission to succeed.

From landing on the Moon → collecting lunar samples → launching them back into orbit → transferring them toward Earth → safely returning the samples, Chandrayaan-4 represents a much more complex mission than simply landing a spacecraft on the lunar surface.

🇮🇳 India’s Moon missions are entering a new phase — from exploring the Moon to bringing pieces of it back to Earth.

🌡️ Climate change

🌳 Biosphere integrity

🌱 Land-system change

💧 Freshwater change

🧪 Nutrient cycles

🏭 Novel entities / chemical pollution

🌊 Ocean acidification

💥 The space explosion that flattened an entire forest — without leaving a crater! 🌲☄️

On June 30, 1908, something exploded high above the remote Tunguska region of Siberia. The blast flattened roughly 2,000 square kilometres of forest and knocked down tens of millions of trees.

But here’s the shocking part: the object never reached the ground. It exploded in the atmosphere in what scientists call an airburst, producing a massive shockwave without creating a traditional impact crater.

The Tunguska Event remains one of the most powerful cosmic events witnessed in modern history. 🌍💥

Would Earth survive a similar event today? 👀

🚨 NASA’s NEW space telescope just sent its FIRST test image! 🛰️🌌

The **Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope** captured a bizarre scene where stars appear as strange **neon-green loops**! 💚✨

But here’s the twist: **the stars aren’t actually green!** 😱

This is an early test image from Roman’s infrared instrument while the telescope is still being focused and calibrated. Once fully operational, Roman will have a **much wider field of view than Hubble**, allowing it to survey huge areas of the universe and study mysteries like **dark energy, distant galaxies, and exoplanets**. 🔭🌠

Hubble gives us incredibly detailed views of smaller regions, while Roman is designed to scan **vast cosmic areas efficiently**.

The green cosmic loops are just the beginning… 🚀

🌕 Tonight, don’t just look at the Moon—observe it! 🔭✨

On September 19, 2026, people around the world are celebrating International Observe the Moon Night—a global event dedicated to exploring and appreciating our closest celestial neighbor.

Look closely at the Moon’s craters, mountains, and shadows. The boundary between the illuminated and dark regions, called the terminator, can make lunar features especially striking to observe. 🌑🔍

So tonight, look up at the sky and take a closer look at the Moon. You might be surprised by how much detail you can see! 🌌

🌕💥 **Something hit the Moon in 2024… and nobody saw it happen! 😱**

NASA has discovered a **massive fresh impact crater on the Moon**, believed to have formed between April and May 2024. The crater was later identified using images from NASA’s **Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO)**.

But here’s the shocking part… 👀
The newly discovered **McGetchin Crater** is approximately **728 feet (222 meters) wide and 141 feet (43 meters) deep** — making it the **largest recently formed impact crater known in the Solar System**. 🌑

Scientists estimate that an impact this large may occur on the Moon only about **once every 132 years**.

The crater was named **McGetchin Crater** in honor of lunar scientist **Thomas McGetchin**.

🌌 The Moon may look quiet from Earth, but its surface is constantly being shaped by cosmic impacts.

Would you have noticed something this huge happening on the Moon.
