🌱🌍 Let's Talk Biodegradable Plastic! 🌍🌱

🌿 Hello friends, We wanted to share an important message about the use of biodegradable plastic. ♻️

🌎 We all know that plastic pollution is a pressing global issue, but did you know that not all biodegradable plastics are as eco-friendly as they seem? 🚫🌍

🌿 Biodegradable plastics are designed to break down more quickly than traditional plastics, which is great in theory. However, many of these plastics require specific conditions to decompose, such as high temperatures or industrial composting facilities. When disposed of improperly, they can still persist in our environment for years. 😢

🌎 So, what can we do?

1️⃣ Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: The best way to combat plastic pollution is by reducing our overall plastic consumption, reusing items when possible, and properly recycling plastics that cannot be avoided.

Plantation Drive - April’23

Dear followers,

We want to share with you the incredible success of our recent plantation drive that took place in the local community. As an NGO dedicated to environmental sustainability, we organized the drive to raise awareness about the importance of planting trees and the impact it can have on our planet.

We are thrilled to announce that the event was a massive success, and we owe it all to the support of the many volunteers who joined us, including a group of enthusiastic kids who lent a helping hand. The kids were full of enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned about sustainable practices and the importance of taking care of the environment.

It was truly inspiring to see the children's faces light up as they planted their very own trees, knowing that they were contributing to a sustainable future. We, the WEER Foundation, are thrilled to announce our upcoming plantation drive on March 26th, 2023 at Dwarka sector 5. This is an incredible opportunity for us to come together and make a positive impact on our environment.

Our team has been working tirelessly to collect over 200 baby saplings from a nearby nursery, and we couldn't be more excited to get them in the ground. With your help, we can make a huge difference in the local ecosystem and create a more sustainable future for all.

As the harsh winter winds blow through Delhi, our hearts ache for the countless families struggling to keep warm. With tears in our eyes, we recently distributed warm clothing items such as jackets, coats, scarves, and gloves to bring comfort to those in need. The outpouring of love and support from volunteers, donors, and local businesses is a reminder of the goodness in the world. Let's continue to spread kindness and warmth to our fellow human beings.

Meet Tanvi, a young girl living on the streets of Delhi. Her hardships are unimaginable but her spirit is indomitable. Despite the freezing temperatures, she smiles through it all. On the first day of the New Year, our team had the honor of visiting her and bringing her warm clothes, toys and other essentials to help her through these tough times. Our hearts were heavy seeing her struggles but we left with hope and inspiration. Together, we can make a brighter future for children like Tanvi.
