Forum for Breast Cancer Protection

The Forum for Breast Cancer Protection was set up in the year 2001.

The Forum for Breast Cancer Protection was set up by a group of doctors who were growing increasingly concerned with the rising incidence of breast cancer in India. An even greater cause of concern was that a very large proportion of Indian women only sought medical advice when their cancer had reached the later stages, leading to mastectomy, the spread of cancer to other parts of the body, and th

e loss of life. The Forum was thus set up to raise awareness among Indian women about the critical need for early detection. The Forum also spreads awareness about the treatment for breast cancer in case it is detected and the fact that the earlier the disease is caught, the higher are the chances of survival. The Forum initiates and organises an entire gamut of activities to keep the issue of early detection alive.
