🇮🇳 Celebrating the 80th Independence Day with Pride & Patriotism! 🇮🇳

Model Village Trust celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day across several Model Villages in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal, with enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, village leaders, women, youth and community members.

From flag hoisting, National Anthem and patriotic songs to rallies, speeches, cultural activities and student felicitation, the celebrations reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism and community participation. Thousands of students and villagers came together to honour the nation and celebrate the values of freedom and responsibility.

A heartfelt thank you to all Village Committees, Gram Pradhans, teachers, guests, volunteers, students and community members for making these celebrations meaningful and memorable. 🇮🇳❤️

Under our WASH Campaign, cleanliness drives were successfully conducted in Danogahir (Odisha), Balai (Mewat, Haryana), and Basaulia (Uttar Pradesh) to address waterlogging and unhygienic conditions caused by continuous rainfall.
Village committee members, sanitation workers, local leaders, and community members came together to clean drains, remove waste, and ensure proper water flow. The collective effort not only helped prevent waterlogging but also reinforced the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Together, we are building cleaner, healthier, and more resilient villages through community participation.

Government Schemes Drive | Model Village Balajhor, Godda, Jharkhand 🇮🇳

A Government Schemes Drive in collaboration with Nagrik Vikas Kendra was successfully conducted at Model Village Balajhor, Godda, Jharkhand, where 8 beneficiaries were supported through the filling of 4 Old Age Pension, 3 Unorganised Worker, and 1 Caste Certificate application forms, helping them access essential government welfare schemes.

Maternal and Child Health Awareness & Counselling Programs were successfully conducted in Balai Village, Mewat (Haryana) and Balajhor village, District Godda (Jharkhand). The sessions, led by healthcare professionals including GNM, ANM, and ASHA workers, focused on maternal health, child nutrition, immunization, and preventive healthcare practices, benefiting a total of 32 community members and promoting healthier families and informed caregiving practices.

Monthly Vaccination Drives were successfully conducted in Model Villages Basaulia and Saidpur (District Budaun, Uttar Pradesh), Marora Village Anganwadi Centre (Mewat, Haryana), and Balajhor village (District Godda, Jharkhand), with the support of dedicated healthcare workers including ANMs, CHOs, and ASHA workers.
A total of 45 beneficiaries received essential immunization services, contributing to improved child and community health through strengthened access to preventive healthcare.

Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programs were successfully conducted at Govt. Middle School Haibatka and Patakpur in Mewat, Haryana, and Model Village Manikpur, Dist. Godda, Jharkhand focusing on health awareness, counseling sessions, and sanitary napkin distribution, reaching a total of 49 beneficiaries with support from health workers and community representatives.

Empowering women through skills and opportunities ✨

A Sewing & Tailoring Centre equipped with 5 tailoring machines was inaugurated at Patakpur Model Village, Mewat, Haryana, to support women empowerment and sustainable livelihood opportunities for local women and girls.

The centre was inaugurated by T. Faiza (Trainer of the Tailoring Centre) in the presence of Mr. Ilyas Hamadani from the headquarters team. Community members and beneficiaries actively participated and appreciated this meaningful initiative toward self-reliance and skill development.

Maternal Health Counselling Programs were successfully conducted in Model Village Manikpur (Godda, Jharkhand), Kurbanpur and Basaulia (Budaun, UP) with the support of ANMs, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, and community nutrition staff. The sessions focused on maternal nutrition, safe pregnancy, institutional delivery, and child health, reaching 16 beneficiaries in Manikpur, 5 pregnant women in Kurbanpur, and 12 in Basaulia—strengthening awareness and promoting healthier communities.

Education activities under the new academic session by Model Village Trust were successfully conducted across villages including Marora, Haibatka, Balai, Mohdpur, Khuwajlikalan (Mewat, Haryana), Urolia, Saidpur, Basaulia, Ismailpur (Budaun, UP), , and Manikpur (Godda, Jharkhand), where rallies, school visits, awareness sessions, competitions, and community meetings engaged 60–120+ participants in each program to promote enrollment, reduce dropouts, and spread the message “Every Child Goes to School.”
