Espousing the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji towards ensuring menstrual hygiene and affordable access to sanitary napkins, NID Foundation and Chandigarh Welfare Trust have announced the Kanyavrat initiative to create awareness among adolescent girls about safe and hygienic menstrual health practices.

The initiative will be launched in Chandigarh, aiming at piloting social and behavioural change, ending the deep-rooted taboos around menstruation, and promoting menstrual hygiene among women and adolescent girls in underprivileged communities.
In pursuit of this noble cause, we will also make an official attempt to create a Guinness World Record by distributing 1.25 lakh free sanitary pads in a single day in Chandigarh.
