Flood relief camp organized by AAD..
The Assam Association Dehradun (AAD) is a non-governmental, non-profit and socio-cultural society of Assamese people residing in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The AAD is involved in cultural activities, promoting art, culture and literature of Assam. The association is also involved in different social works related to free medical camp with distribution of medicines in and around Dehradun, organizes blood donation campaign and also organizes flood relief camps during devastating flood in Assam since last several years.
Recently, on September 08, 2019, representative of Asom Association Dehradun (AAD) went to Assam and organized a flood relief camp at Borbheti Village of Jorhat District. The association donated several basic needs like mosquito net, bed sheet, utensils and many other items to 37 numbers of flood affected families of the village. The members of AAD, Manmeeta Sahu Baruah, Manoj Baruah, Subudh Mahanta, I.P. Borthakur, Shikhamoni Mahanta, Bhaskar, Mukunda Rajkhowa, Ajit Gogoi, Shaarav, Sharthak and many others participated in successful organization of the flood relief camp. The Gaon Burha of the village Shri Bubul Gogoi helped in systematic distribution of the items to each families of the village. The villagers were extremely happy for the moral support from the AAD
