Independent Living cottages for children with intellectual and associated disabilities in a home environment, living under the supervision of a house parent. Day School: trains students to maximise their daily living, social & conceptual skills. Vocational Training prepares children for independent living and job placement. Community-based Rehabilitation works with over 100 children in government schools and preschools across 24 villages, 20-40 kms away from the Raphael campus. Mobile Outreach Team identifies Uttarakhand districts that lack services for those with disabilities. Assists w. awareness / training programmes & continuous follow up. Rehabilitative Workshop a sheltered workplace for leprosy-cured people & young adults with intellectual disabilities. Activities incl. weaving, candle-making, block printing & paper products Enabling ex-Leprosy patients to live with their families and work in the community. Tuberculosis Hospital 26 beds + OPD, Pathology & X-Ray lab. All treatment is free. Little White House accommodates children of leprosy parentage within the community, away from the stigma that surrounds this disease. They attend local schools, receive support & professional training that enables them to start a career.

🌟 Learning Together, Growing Together

As part of Hyatt’s Global Month of Service 2026, we are grateful to celebrate a journey of learning, confidence and inclusion.

Through our collaboration with Hyatt Centric Dehradun, two young learners from RAPHAEL have been undergoing hands-on training with the hotel’s Housekeeping team for over six months. They have been learning workplace skills, taking on simple tasks, interacting with colleagues, and gradually becoming more confident in a professional environment.

What began with learning basic tasks has grown into greater confidence, familiarity and independence. More importantly, the experience has been about creating a space where our young learners can participate, contribute and feel a sense of belonging.

We are deeply grateful to the entire Hyatt Centric Dehradun team for their patience, encouragement and enthusiasm in supporting our students.

Together with RAPHAEL, they are creating opportunities, building confidence and fostering independence.

Because when we learn together, we grow together. 🤝✨

❤️A Little Rakhi, A Lot of Love ❤️

With Raksha Bandhan just around the corner, our children stepped out into the community for a special visit to the post office. They carried Rakhis filled with love, carefully addressed their envelopes and posted them off to their loved ones.

For our children, it was more than a community visit—it was a chance to learn everyday skills, experience independence and, most importantly, be part of a beautiful tradition of love and togetherness.

Because sometimes, the smallest envelope carries the biggest feelings. 💕📮✨

Disability Assessment Camp -Tehri Garhwal

Making disability services more accessible, one community at a time.

Our team conducted a Disability Assessment Camp at Pratap Inter College, Buraradi, Tehri Garhwal, where 30+ individuals with intellectual disabilities were assessed and evaluated by a multidisciplinary team of experts. 25+ individuals were issued Disability Certificates, helping them access their rights, government schemes, and essential support services.

Together, we continue to bridge the gap between communities and inclusive healthcare.

Our boys rolled up their sleeves to give the sand pit a much-needed clean-up! More than just a maintenance activity, it was an opportunity to learn responsibility, teamwork, and respect for shared spaces.

By removing debris, levelling the sand, and preparing the area for play, they discovered that caring for their environment is just as important as enjoying it.

At Raphael, every small task is a step towards building life skills, confidence, and independence. 💚
