Rejoice and Shine Rejoice & Shine exists to educate locally and empower globally. Our vision is to improve the future of the children involved with our organisation.

We serve Him by serving the community. education is the only way to bring a change in a society. There are around 30 kids involved in Rejoice and Shine. Our goals over the next year:
- Good Hygiene
- Improved Health
- Quality Education
- Access to Food and Clean Water
- Transport to and from school
- Sustainability

Dear family and friends,
Thank you so much for supporting Rejoice and Shine.
It has been a blessing to reach so many people, by providing food packages (Ration) and medical help which was in demand during this COVID-19.
Over the past few months we have not been able to step into Rejoice and Shine Center. Some cases of COVID-19 positive have been found at the slum, so it has been difficult for us to work there these days. Now Rejoice and Shine is moving from in person to on line and for that we need your help.
Teaching is important whether students learn in-person or virtually. However, everyone learns and experiences life differently. Our teachers and volunteers will be carrying out daily tuitions with the use of zoom app and whatsapp and online teaching resources.
We are working on a plan to bring online teaching to the students who are under privileged. We will provide an online education with the same academic focus and goals that our in the classroom program offers at Rejoice and Shine.
Our daily tuitions will include one on one teaching, video lessons with the use of zoom app and whatsapp and online teaching, which will help us, stay connected with individual students and group of students at our Rejoice and Shine Centers.
Our students are from under privileged family backgrounds, which are in government schools. For them to effort a smart phone or laptop is unrealistic.
With your contribution we will surly be able to overcome this obstacle in their teaching and learning.
For Online Teaching we need some resources and the cost of resources is out of our budget. So please join us in following ways to make this possible. You can contribute towards buying or gift us the following resources.
1. Volunteer to teach online (Monday to Saturday) students of class 6-10 Uttrakhand Board.
2. Learn a second language from our trained team.-Hindi, English, Spanish or German.
3. Over head projector, Laptop, desktop computer with headphones and speakers (Help us buy or Donate to us)
4. Books and stationary supplies for students. (Help us buy or Donate to us)

Isn't smile contagious, but for some it costs'
I am talking about the underprivileged section of the society. They are going through hardship during this pandemic more than we are. My heart melted and thought to reach out to them. For them the basic amenities are what we try our best to provide and this time we added something that was more needed-An awareness program to fight COVID-19.
We organized an awareness program among the migrant works living near the Basti areas in Selakui.
Had around 25+ children and their parents attending our initiative, some time the simplest things are the hardest things to do like washing hands and keeping distance.
Well how would you encourage a person living in the slums where life itself is a big challenge to them?
Today Rejoice and shine had an opportunity to share some goodies with children which they feasted on and really enjoyed. I wish we could do more activity with them and make them have more fun BUT because of this COVID-19 only awareness was done.
Let's me share an experience with y'all which testifies how big and marvelous Our God is Aradhana, lives in the basti , she has the most contagious smile among the bunch and she was expressing her gratitude.
I am extremely indebted to all my Friends and family who have continuously supported Rejoice and shine to be able to extend and reach out to the people in need.
Let's share what we did on 31/05/2020
1. The team conducted an awareness program and distributed packed eatables to children and families.
2. Abhilash sir, who is quiet a gentleman, possess immense love for kids as he is a teacher by profession and he demonstrated the importance of germ free hands and how these germs spread and swallow happiness
3. kranti Sir and Joshua Sir were the string hands that helped in making packages and they also distributed eatables to respective children.
4. Our prime concern were children because we believe they deserve all the happiness and love.
"Our God is a God of love" so let's keep the prime motive in mind and let God be glorified in and through our lives.
5. Thank you friends and family for bring a smile on these children.
