Shiksha & Bhojan Mission – Progress Update 🌟
We are delighted to share that our Shiksha & Bhojan Mission is growing beautifully week by week. Since the beginning of this initiative, we have been conducting free learning sessions every week for underprivileged children. Each session includes 2-3 hours of interactive teaching, followed by healthy food or snacks for the children — because we believe learning is best when minds are nourished and bellies are full.
What makes this mission even more special is the support we receive from a diverse group of volunteers – including teachers, social workers, students, and government employees – who join us regularly to teach and inspire the children in their own unique ways.
During the summer vacation (until the end of June), we were able to run classes 2-3 times a week. Now, since many children have resumed attending government primary schools, we are conducting these joyful learning sessions every Sunday.
Most of the children come from Hindi-medium government schools and are highly motivated to learn English. Some of them are school dropouts, and a few had never been to school before joining us.
🙏 We are proud to say that two children who had never stepped into a classroom have now learned to count from 1 to 50, recognize A-Z alphabets, and are continuing to learn more — all because of their strong willpower and the support of this mission.
We don’t teach them like a traditional school. We approach them as friends and mentors, so they feel free, confident, and unafraid to ask questions and express themselves while learning joyfully.
This is just the beginning – and with your support, we will keep growing and reaching more lives!
