Wildlife Institute of India - Category 2 Centre (WII-C2C) for World Natural Heritage Management and Training for Asia and the Pacific Region, under the auspices of UNESCO was established at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun in 2014. The Centre is the world’s first dealing with natural heritage and aims to build capacity for the 50 nations of the Asia-Pacific Region in the area of Natural Heritage conservation and management.

Training Course in Natural Heritage (TCNH) 🌿 Organized by in collaboration with ITEC & Ministry of External Affairs kicks off! Inaugurated by Dr. Ruchi Badola, Dean of WII, in the presence of Dr. G. S. Bharadwaj, Director of WII, and course officials.

19 participants from 12 countries🌎 are joining this 2 week adventure, exploring World Heritage Convention & Heritage Management, followed by field visits to India's Natural and cultural sites! 🏞️

As part of the Exposure Visit for GHNP Ambassadors and Ecozone Stakeholders organized by WII-C2C and the HPFD, the participants visited the WHS of Fatehpur Sikri learning of history-shaping events, the influence of geography on culture and the importance of appreciating the linkages between nature and culture under the guidance of experts from ASI.

We are happy to share information about 2 upcoming WII-C2C natural heritage courses for non-Indian nationals fully sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India which will be held in Dehradun, India.

1. Training Course in Natural Heritage (TCNH), 20th January to 31st January 2025 (2 Weeks)
2. Certificate Course in Natural Heritage Management (CCNHM), 17th February to 14th March 2025 (4 Weeks)
