This is to notify the esteemed Retreat Masters of the glorious Drikung Kagyu tradition, who uphold the Fivefold Mahamudra and the profound path of the Six Yogas of Nāropā.
Pursuant to the resolutions of the 1st Meeting of the 5th International Drikung Kagyu Council, His Holiness Drikung Chetsang Rinpoche received a comprehensive report at Lamayuru Monastery in Leh, Ladakh. His Holiness instructed that all retreat masters who have completed the traditional three-year retreat assemble to exchange insights on the Fivefold Mahamudra and Six Yogas of Nāropā, based on the spiritual legacy of the two accomplished masters, Drupwang Pachung Rinpoche and Drupwang Chungga Rinpoche. This gathering will take place in the presence of senior lamas holding the empowerments and oral transmissions, and possessing full realization. His Holiness emphasized that this mutual exchange is of paramount importance for guiding future generations of practitioners.
In accordance with this sacred directive, the 5th International Drikung Kagyu Council has finalized the Conference on the Fivefold Mahamudra and the Six Yogas as a five-day gathering from 16th to 20th February, 2027 at Rinchenling Monastery in Nepal. Following this, on the 13th and 15th days of the same Tibetan month (19th-20th February, 2027), a solemn memorial ceremony will be held to observe the Parinirvana of the two great masters, Marpa Lotsawa and Jetsun Milarepa.
The gathering will be presided over by Drupon Yeshe Rinpoche, Dorzin Dhondrup Palden Rinpoche, and Drupon Konchok Tenzin Rinpoche, along with Dorzin Konchok Ngodrup. All practitioners who have completed the three-year retreat on the Fivefold Mahamudra and the Six Yogas are warmly invited, and we earnestly look forward to your presence.

* Registration Deadline: Those interested in attending are kindly requested to register with the 5th International Drikung Kagyu Council by 15th December, 2026, via the contact numbers listed below.
* Accommodation & Meals: Room and board will be fully provided for all participants.
* Transportation: The 5th International Drikung Kagyu Council will arrange round-trip transportation for retreat masters residing in India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
