From Stigma to Change

It’s not imagination—it’s our reality. We saw it, we lived it, and we know the weight of stigma. But no longer.

Today, young people are not just demanding change—we are becoming the agents of change. ✊🏽🌍

We are turning lived experiences into action, breaking stigma, challenging discrimination, and creating a future where every young person can live with dignity, equality, and hope.

This is what this year’s International Youth Day is about: youth not just as voices for change, but as the force driving it.

We are not the future. We are the change happening now. 🔥

Informed consent is a fundamental part of 𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. Every person has the right to understand why the test is being done and to make an informed choice before giving consent.

Equally important, counselling before and after an HIV test helps individuals understand the process, interpret the results, and access the right support and care.

Privacy is not a privilege—it's a right.

Every person living with or affected by HIV deserves confidentiality, dignity, and respect. When we protect privacy, we build trust, reduce stigma, and make it easier for people to access the care they need.

Knowledge is power, but the right knowledge is true strength.

Understanding the facts and having accurate information about HIV empowers people living with and affected by HIV to protect their own rights and those of their loved ones. Awareness is the first step toward dignity, equality, and justice.
