Every rescue that reaches our shelter comes with a promise
A promise that they won’t sleep hungry.
A promise that they’ll receive treatment when they’re in pain.
A promise that they will finally know what love and safety feel like.

But keeping that promise is becoming harder every day.

The cost of food, medicines, surgeries, and daily care continues to rise, while more injured and abandoned animals keep arriving at our gates.

Today, we’re asking for your help.

On this sacred day of Ashtami, we want to share the story of two of our most special girls Gauri and Lakshmi 🙏✨

Gauri came into our lives during Navratras, around two years ago, after she met with a terrible accident. Injured, helpless, and in pain… but maybe Maa Durga had already chosen her path — to be safe, loved, and protected. Since that day, Gauri became a part of our family forever.

Lakshmi’s story is equally heartbreaking. She was rescued last Diwali… abandoned by her own family when she needed them the most. Her neck was severely infested with maggots, and she was left to suffer because of the smell and her condition. But despite everything, she chose to trust again… and today, she is safe, healing, and deeply loved at our shelter.

These two innocent souls are now permanent residents of our shelter, and we cannot imagine our lives without them. Gauri and Lakshmi are not just rescues… they are emotions, they are strength, they are family ❤️

On this beautiful occasion, Gauri & Lakshmi are wishing everyone a very Shubh Navratri 🙏🌸
