On behalf of Kripa Foundation, Darjeeling, we the staff and our founder Rev.Fr.Joe Pereira extend our sincere gratitude to our Honorable Mr. Raju Bista for his generous donation of an ambulance to our organization. This valuable contribution will greatly enhance our ability to serve those in need and support our mission of recovery and care.
# would also like to acknowledge the significant role played by Mr. Ajoy Edwards. Nearly two and a half years ago, he first requested an ambulance for Kripa from Mr. Raju Bista. However, during the period when the GTA was in power the proposal could not move forward as the required approvals and signatures were not obtained as they were afraid of losing their post. They thought Ajoy owns Kripa Foundation. They just ignored it.
# the second stage, following the victory of BJP, this long-awaited dream finally became a reality. Today, Kripa Foundation is blessed to receive this much-needed ambulance, which will greatly benefit our residents and the community we serve.
# would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Bandana Mangar, Women President of BJP, for her valuable support and guidance regarding the ambulance donation for Kripa Foundation, Darjeeling. When we approached her, she immediately extended her help by personally contacting the concerned Development Officer sharing the necessary contact details with us. The staff of Kripa had the opportunity to meet him, and his positive response and encouragement played an important role in facilitating the process. On behalf of the entire Kripa family, we sincerely thank Mrs. Bandana Mangar for her kindness, support, and commitment towards helping those in need. We are truly grateful for her contribution to this noble cause.
# we sincerely thank Mr. Raju Bista for his generous donation, Mr. Ajoy Edwards for his unwavering support and Mrs. Bandana Mangar for her valuable support and all those who contributed to making this long-awaited dream a reality.

# " means staying away from people, places, and situations that encourage negative behavior, substance use, dishonesty, or unhealthy habits. In recovery, bad company can trigger cravings, tempt a person to relapse, and make it difficult to maintain a positive lifestyle. Surrounding oneself with supportive, honest, and recovery-focused people helps build strength, confidence, and healthy relationships. Choosing good company is an important step toward personal growth, sobriety, and a successful recovery journey.
# requires a change not only in habits but also in the environment and social circle. By choosing friends who support sobriety, encourage healthy living, and inspire positive values, a person can strengthen their recovery and build a brighter future. True friends respect your decision to stay clean and motivate you to become the best version of yourself. Remember, protecting your recovery sometimes means walking away from people who threaten your peace, progress, and well-being.

# is not a race; it is a journey that requires patience, perseverance, and faith. Many individuals expect immediate results after stopping substance use, but healing takes time. The body, mind, and emotions need time to recover from the damage caused by addiction. In the early days of recovery, there may be cravings, mood swings, sleepless nights, and moments of doubt. These challenges can feel overwhelming, but they are often a normal part of the healing process.
# helps us trust the process and stay committed even when progress seems slow. Recovery is built one day at a time through honesty, discipline, counselling, fellowship, prayer, and healthy routines. Every day free from substances is a victory worth celebrating. With the support of family, counsellors, fellow recovering persons, and God's grace, strength gradually returns, relationships begin to heal, and hope is restored.
True recovery is not about how fast we change, but about remaining committed to positive change every day. Keep moving forward, stay patient, and remember that lasting recovery grows through consistent effort and faith. What seems impossible today can become your reality tomorrow.

# " refers to suddenly stopping the use of alcohol, drugs, or other addictive substances without medical assistance. The symptoms can be intense and uncomfortable, especially during the first few days. Common symptoms include anxiety, restlessness, irritability, insomnia, sweating, body aches, nausea, loss of appetite, tremors, and strong cravings. Some individuals may also experience depression, mood swings, and difficulty concentrating. In severe cases, withdrawal can lead to hallucinations, seizures, or other serious complications. Although the journey through withdrawal can be painful, with proper support, medical care, and faith in recovery, these symptoms gradually subside, paving the way for a healthier and substance-free life.
# first few days are often the most challenging, as withdrawal symptoms can feel overwhelming and may create a strong urge to return to substance use. Some people may feel hopeless, isolated, or believe that the discomfort will never end. However, withdrawal is a temporary phase. With proper medical supervision, emotional support, fellowship, and faith in the recovery process, the symptoms gradually decrease. Each day of enduring withdrawal is a step closer to healing. Recovery teaches us that the pain of withdrawal is temporary, but the freedom and peace gained through sobriety can last a lifetime.

# : β€œI Can Use Drugs Once and Leave It Anytime”
# of the most dangerous myths about addiction is the belief that a person can use drugs just once or occasionally and stop whenever they want. While some people may initially feel in control, addiction often develops gradually and silently. Drugs affect the brain's reward system, creating cravings that can become stronger over time. What starts as experimentation or occasional use can quickly turn into regular use, dependence, and addiction.
# individuals who struggle with addiction once believed they could stop whenever they wanted. However, they later discovered that cravings, peer pressure, emotional stress, and the effects of the substance made it much harder to quit than expected. Addiction does not happen overnight; it is a progressive disease that can take control of a person's thoughts, emotions, and behavior.
# safest choice is not to test one's ability to control drugs but to understand the risks and make informed decisions. Recovery begins when a person recognizes the reality of addiction and seeks help. Awareness, education, and support are essential in breaking the myths surrounding substance use and building a healthier future.
