Picking up Biofencing initiatives as a means of managing human wildlife conflict in Forest Villages of Singalila National Park. Annually 40% to 60% of expected yield is lost to a myriad mammals raiding these tiny pockets of cultivated land that causes immense hardship and stress on the villagers.
Frighteningly, fascinatingly peacocks have made a range shift and made their appearance in these villages and in the lower elevations started eating peas an important crop in the landscape.
