An outreach programme was conducted at Borbot Higher Secondary School, a school situated in a remote village.

Mr. Sadip Lama, President, attended as the Chief Guest, while Ms. Dichen Bhutia, Secretary, was present as the Special Guest. The visit reflects a strong commitment to supporting education in underserved areas.

A pledge has been made to support the school’s growth and development. The initiative also included support from Yashshree Foundation for the school band equipment, encouraging student talent and creativity.

The programme was witnessed by media team members Geetanjali and Bhagya.

On 12th March 2026, we successfully concluded the document verification–cum–interview of candidates at the YIHM Institute of Hotel Management. Several underprivileged and unemployed youths participated in the selection process, which was conducted in the esteemed presence of Principal Shri Jiwan Chettri.

This marks the commencement of the second batch under our structured certificate programme, an initiative facilitated by the Yashshree Foundation. Through this programme, selected candidates will receive professional hospitality training at YIHM, followed by internship opportunities across various properties of Sumi Yashshree Hotels & Resorts strengthening our commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities for local unemployed youth.

In addition, the trained and sponsored candidates from the first batch were proudly presented with their offer letters to join different properties within the Sumi Yashshree Hotels & Resorts group, marking another milestone in our journey towards empowering local communities through skill development and sustainable employment.
