ଏଇ କିଛିଦିନ ତଳେ ପାନ ଚୋବାଇ ଚୋବେଇ ଅଫିସ ପାଖରେ ବୁଲୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ପଛ ପଟୁ ମୁଁ ପିଠିରେ ସରୁ ଚାପୁଡ଼ା ଟିଏ ଯାହାକୁ ମରିଥିଲି, ସେ ଥିଲେ ସମାଜର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ସହ ସଂପାଦକ ଆଦିତ୍ୟ ପତି।
ପଚାରିଲି - କଣ ଖାଉଛ ଆଦିତ୍ୟ?
ଛୋଟ ପିଲା ମିଛ କହିଲା ପରି ଆଦିତ୍ୟ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଜିଭ ଦେଖାଇ କହିଲା - ଦେଖୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି ଭାଇ, ଆଉ ଏବେ ଖାଉନି କିଛି।
ମୁଁ ଅଣ ଦେଖା କରି କହିଲି - Good Boy
କିନ୍ତୁ ସତରେ ସେ ପାନ ବା ଗୁଟକା କଣ ଗୋଟେ ପାଟିରେ ଚାପି ଥିଲେ।
ଏତକ ଭିତରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଆଉ ଦୁଇଜଣ ବନ୍ଧୁ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଗଲେ।
ସେମାନେ ଯୋଡ଼ିକି କହିଲେ - ଭାଇ! ଭଲକି ଗାଳି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ। ଅଭ୍ୟାସ ଛାଡୁନି ଜମା।
ମୁଁ କହିଲି - ବର୍ଷେ ତଳେ ତୁମେ ଅଶ୍ଵିନୀ ଡାକ୍ତରଖାନାରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁସହ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ କରୁଥିଲ, ବାହାରେ ତୁମ ପତ୍ନୀ ଓ ପରିବାର କିପରି ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଥିଲେ, ହୁଏତ ତାର ଚିତ୍ର ତୁମେ ଦେଖିଥିଲେ ଜାଣିଥାନ୍ତ୍ ତୁମ ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ତୁମ ଆବଶ୍ୟକତା ଠୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କେତେ ଅଧିକ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।
କାଲି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ପର କରି ଚାଲିଗଲେ ଅନୁଜ ପ୍ରତିମ ଆଦିତ୍ୟ।

Good Morning from my village.
A Journey Back to Srinathpursasan: Memories and Melancholy

As I stepped into Srinathpursasan, my ancestral village in Gopabandhu Nagar Block, fond memories flooded my mind. Locals affectionately call it Baulasasan. Nestled beside the serene River Sono, our village boasts a quaint Shiva temple at its entrance. My family's home, second in the right row, holds a treasure trove of nostalgia.

Childhood 🙋escapades come alive in my mind: racing to the river for swims and sand-sculpting contests, digging wells for crystal-clear water during scorching summers, and the seniors' tales of mystical spirits dwelling in the palm🤗 trees along the river ghats. On my recent visit, I playfully searched for those elusive demons among the towering trees🌹.

The eerie silence, however, starkly contrasted with the vibrant memories. Time seemed to stand still, and I forgot my age for two fleeting days. Yet, I couldn't shake off the pang of sadness. 😔The once-thriving village now sleeps, its youth and vitality drained by migration. The crumbling road and underdevelopment pierce the heart.

Gone are the carefree days filled with children's laughter. Today, the village predominantly houses senior citizens, a reminder of the exodus of young minds seeking better prospects elsewhere.
