I feel deeply honored and grateful to receive the **“Inspiring Women Achiever Award – Best Social Activist”** during the **International Women’s Day Celebration 2026**. What makes this recognition truly special for me is that it was presented at **St. Anne’s Higher Secondary School, Cuddalore**, the very institution where I studied.

Returning to my alma mater and receiving such an honor is an emotional and proud moment. It reminds me of the values, encouragement, and inspiration I received during my school days, which shaped my journey in social service.

I dedicate this recognition to everyone who has supported and walked with me in serving persons with disabilities and the marginalized in our society. My heartfelt thanks to the school management and organizers for this meaningful honor on such a special occasion.

Our *OASIS TRUST FOR THE HANDICAPPED* was started in 02.03.1988 to serve the people and today we are stepping into the 39th year. We dedicate this success to our beloved Founder Dr. K. V. Thavaraj (Late) one who dedicated & sacrificed his life for the welfare of differently abled & OASIS.We are happy to be the first NGO in Cuddalore district in the field of differently abled and we are recipient of *NATIONAL AWARD, STATE AWARD* and many for its excellence. In the past 38years OASIS lights in the life of thousands s of Differently abled people.Our heartly thanks and gratitude to all Officials, sponsors, donors, wellwishers and all for your valuable support. நமது ஒயாசிஸ் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்காக தொண்டு நிறுவனம் கடந்த02.03.1988 துவங்கப்பட்டு இன்று (02.03.2026) 38ஆண்டுகள் நிறைவு பெற்று 39ஆம் ஆண்டில் அடி எடுத்துஉள்ளது. கடலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்காக சேவை புரிய துவங்கபட்ட முதல் தன்னார்வ தொண்டு நிறுவனம் என்பதோடு சிறந்த சேவைக்கு மணிமகுடமாக சிறந்த சேவைக்கான தேசிய விருது, மாநில விருது, மற்றும் பல விருதுகளை குவித்து தனது தனித்துவத்தை என்றும் நிரூபித்து வருகிறது நமது ஒயாசிஸ். 38ஆண்டுகளில் பல்லாயிரகணக்கான மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு விடிவெள்ளியாக திகழ்கின்ற ஒயாசிஸ் நிறுவனம் பல சாதனைகளையும் வெற்றி சுவடுகளையும் பதிக்க கடந்துவந்த பாதைகளில் பல முட்களும் உண்டு பல பூக்களும் உண்டு, அனைத்து தருணங்களிலும் எங்களோடு கைகோர்த்து உதவிய முதலாவதாக எல்லாம் வல்ல இறைவனுக்கும் இந்நாள்வரை அனைத்து வகையிலும் நல்லாதரவை அளித்துவரும் அரசு பிரதிநிதிகள், நன்கொடையாளர்கள், தன்னார்வாலர்க்கள், நண்பர்கள் மற்றும் அனைத்து நல்உள்ளங்களுக்கும் எங்கள் மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகள், மேலும் தொடர்ந்து தங்கள் ஆதரவை வழங்குமாறு பணிந்து கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

We are proud to share that Oasis Trust for the Handicapped was honoured at the 5-year reflection and felicitation ceremony of the ECRC & Home Again initiatives organised by The Banyan in Tamil Nadu.

The recognition was conferred by the Hon’ble Chief Secretary Thiru. Muruganandam IAS, in the presence of Dr. P. Senthilkumar IAS, Dr. J. Radhakrishnan IAS, Ms. Supriya Sahu IAS, Dr. Darez Ahamed IAS, Ms. Lakshmi M IAS, Mr. S. Nagarajan IAS, Mr. Vijayanand IAS and Dr. Arun Thamburaj IAS, appreciating our continued partnership with the Government in rescuing homeless persons with mental illness, providing treatment, recovery care, family reintegration and promoting community living.

This honour encourages us to continue our mission of dignity, inclusion and rehabilitation for persons with psychosocial disabilities.

Oasis Trust for the Handicapped proudly announces that Ms. Kalaiselvi, an alumna of Oasis Snehadeep High School for the Severely Disabled, has been appointed to Government Service and has received her official work order from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. M.K. Stalin and in the presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Ms. Kalaiselvi, a person with locomotor disability, is recognised as India’s first wheelchair racer, representing India in Asian games and her journey from a special school student to a government employee stands as an inspiring example of determination, inclusion, and empowerment.

She will be serving at the Nungambakkam Police Station, Chennai.

Oasis Trust for the Handicapped expresses immense pride and extends heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Kalaiyarasi and wishes her great success in her public service career.

Her success serves as a strong motivation to many children with disabilities and reinforces the message that disability is not inability.
