The Climate Reality Project, India, recognize that India is one of the front-line nations to bear maximum impact of Climate Change. The country is economically weak with highly vulnerability due to poverty, poor infrastructure and lack of mitigation and adaptation knowledge to climate disasters. With this in light, The Climate Reality Project India, aims to disseminate knowledge of climate change to the masses quickly and explain complexities of the impacts. It is understood that sustainable development cannot be achieved by political agreements, financial incentives and technological solutions alone. We need to change how we think and act, and this is where education has a critical role to play. The Climate Reality Project India through its unique and various climate leadership models and trainings is moving ahead in India. Highlights of our Programmes:
- The Climate Reality Leadership Programme where 340 people from all over India were trained by Mr. Al Gore at New Delhi in February,2015.
- Teachers Training Programme is designed to give teachers confidence in facilitating climate change and sustainability education under which over hundreds of teachers trained.
- Climate Youth Leadership Network spread-headed by our trained teacher aims to build Leadership qualities in the students.
- The Climate Reality Project India conducted various awareness drives in association with Yes Bank, Earth Day Network, Modern School.
