Rotary Clubs Unite for Insightful Cybercrime Session
Mumbai, [May 28, 2025] – The Rotary Club of Mumbai South Cuffe Parade hosted a remarkable joint meeting tonight, drawing an impressive attendance of over 75 members from various Rotary clubs across Mumbai, along with a host of South Zone district office bearers and esteemed guests.
The evening's highlight was an in-depth address on cybercrime by Senior Police Inspector Nandakumar Gopal. Inspector Gopal captivated the audience with a comprehensive analysis of newly trending cyberattacks, offering common citizens crucial insights into the threats they might encounter. His presentation, enriched with compelling case reports, underscored the relentless efforts of the Mumbai Police and the Cybercrime Department. Attendees were particularly struck by the team's dedication to not only solving cases but also providing assistance to those affected.
The event was graced by the presence of District Governor Chetan Desai of Rotary District 3141, who served as the Chief Guest.
Governor Chetan Desai was visibly impressed by the valuable information shared by the Cybercrime Department. He extended his heartfelt thanks to Dr. Keiki Mehta, President of the Rotary Club of Mumbai South, for consistently bringing in such exceptional speakers. Governor Desai lauded Dr. Mehta's vibrant involvement in the club and commended him for his numerous successful and ongoing Rotary projects, expressing his admiration for one individual's profound dedication to the organization.
The District Governor was introduced by District Secretary Rtn. Anila Pillai, who eloquently highlighted his extensive achievements within Rotary.
Adding to the evening's significance, 9 traffic wardens were also honored by the District Governor for their association with the Rotary Club of Mumbai South.
